The essentials are here! The sun is out and I intend to go for a walk later with my DH. And I have a training class later on a system upgrade which I have been using now for a couple weeks. Seems like they should have offered this class before the upgrade came out, but whatever.

So, I had a good run. My teenager daughter turned 17 on Sunday, and now thinks she's an adult and has the most entitled attitude that she can do whatever she wants. I guess we'll see if she makes it to 18.

Good morning! Happy that you got your new dish washer fwm, have fun with cate, enjoy your walk fnw and good luck with the training.

Husband is out of town for the week, don’t have the littles today, which that would give my back a break, I may go for a walk later while the weather is nice.

My almost thirteen year olds think they can do whatever they please and that I can't make them go to Cotillion (which is starting up again after Spring Break) "no matter what."

Mine had a few bad moments. Thankfully, it wasn't all the time.

They still have a bad moment, once in a while.

Paul was a bit slow getting his laundry out of the washer. And, I needed to do a load.

So, I said, "Honey, would you please get your clothes into the dryer?" He rolled his eyes at me. Not a good move.wink

My next question was, "Dude...would you like to go live under a bridge? I'll pick the bridge! I'll make sure it's a nice one."

He laughed. He also got off his butt, and got his clothes into the dryer.biggrin

Humor always seemed to work well, with my crew.smile

Yes.  She's about to get a very rude awakening about this.  Her phone, too.

Oh I remember the teen years. Mine almost didn't make it to adulthood numerous times. UGH! I was never so glad when he outgrew all that and then moved out. hahaha There's a lot to be said for the empty nest!!!

Try imagining that six times over!
I'd have one leave the nest, and
the next one started the attitude!

I had a coworker who would tell his teenage son how many days till he was 18 and was out of the house. Almost on a daily basis. He stayed past 18. And 19.

I just take a step back and let them vent. Then I try to talk to them calmly and ask what is bothering them. Usually they want more freedom. Depends on what it is, I try to give it to them but still maintain boundaries. But they will be going to cotillion. LOL
