I just dropped Jupiter off at the Vet. They are going to put her under, and see if they can figure out what's wrong with her left eye. She was so scared, she was shaking when we got her out of they car. I'm going to be nervous, until I hear what they find.
Another nice sunny day here. Heading for a high of 73.
I guess I'll find a few chores to do. Sitting around worrying is not going to help.
Thank you for the good thoughts and prayers, my friends! Jupie, is okay.
She has a lacrimal duct obstruction in her left eye. The duct that usually drains extra tears into her nasal cavity, is blocked. So, the extra tears have no where else to go, but to run down her face. Dr. Bob said it's more of a cosmetic issue, than anything. And he gave me some steroid eye drops to use, for the next 10 days, hoping that will solve the problem. He told me not to worry. Lots of times, these things just get better on their own. But, her eyes look healthy. No more infection. No scratch or ulcer. So, we need to be calm, and wait it out.
He's such a sweet doctor. He went on to explain, that humans have that same duct. And, that's why, when we cry...our nose runs! Who knew?
And, when I looked at my bill...I couldn't believe it was so low. Only $110.19. He only charged us for the meds to knock her out. And the eye drops. No labor charge for him. Bless his heart!
So, Jupiter is back home. I'm very relieved it wasn't something terrible!
