Good morning, my pretties!

Can you believe, we're half way through March already?

I need to pick up a corned beef for Wednesday. St. Paddy's Day is almost here!

Cate is coming down to play.

I need to run to the bank, Kroger, and maybe the hooch store.wink

Not much else is going on here.

How about you?

I hope everyone has a good day!smile

Sunny and mid 60’s here!! The cats are enjoying all the sun out on the back porch.
I’m off today!! I slept till 7:30 which is three hours past my normal weekday alarm.
DD made shrimp and grits for breakfast. It was soooooo good!!
Heading out after my shower to get a rattan (wicker?) loveseat for my porch. I found it at an antique store downtown. It’s not an antique, they sell lots of used outside items too.
Everything outside is yellow from all the pollen, yuck!! Rain tomorrow so hopefully it will wash some of it away.
Have a great day all!!

It became cool here as well. Not freezing, but chilly. Not much going on except the usual work. Enjoy the day!

Starting to put everything back
in the kitchen and dining room.
Have to wash everything first,
because of the dust. But NO
complaints ! Just so happy to
have an even floor !

It's 66 here right now. Sun is shining. They came out and fixed my ac. It's beautiful. I'm enjoying a glorious 4 days off. DF is here. We're going house hunting this afternoon!

Dang cold this morning at 21 degrees. I'm soooooo over this cold crap! All those bulbs I planted last Fall are starting to pop up. Well, at least the ones the squirrels didn't get. hahaha I can't wait to see how it looks. I want flowers. I want the trees to start pushing their leaves. I want 80 degrees! At least the sun is out, even though it's super windy.

Work was a short day today; just four hours. The rest of the week will be seven- and eight-hour days, except I'm off Thursday.

One of my FB friends was allegedly visited by the FBI and secret service for some of his FB posts.

Because of the weekend rain,
the trees are starting to put
out their first green leaves!

Spring has sprung!

Geez, how bad were the posts for that to happen? The world is getting scarier and scarier.

FS ~
To prevent squirrels and other
critters from feasting on the
bulbs you planted, try this:

Make the hole/trench larger
than normal, and put the
bulbs inside two plastic pint
strawberry containers, so that
they create a box around the
bulb(s). Squirrels, moles,
gophers, etc. are deterred by
the plastic, yet the green shoots
will be able to rise up through
the holes. Hope this helps for
next year.

My next set of beets will be transplanted with toilet paper rolls around each one to keep the rabbit from eating the sprouts.  I also sprinkled some of Trudy's Shake Away around the entire bed.  I did that last year and didn't have a problem.  I just forgot this time.

That's a great idea, Momala! You always have the best ideas! Thank you!

FNW, Trudy, what is this Shake Away?

I've heard sprinkling cinnamon around them will keep out the squirrels and moles or chippies. I haven't tried that yet.

It's a repellent. The rabbit one uses fox urine. You can find it on amazon.
