I have the day off and am sippin my cuppa while watching the news before starting my day. It's been a miserable two days weather-wise. Dreary, rainy, foggy, and snow flakes flying around this morning. Thankfully, that didn't amount to anything and has ended but it's still miserable out there.
There is so much I miss doing, like coloring Easter eggs, but the kids and grands are all too old for all that. I'll have to wait for the great-grands to arrive at some point. lol
Just going to putter around the house today. That's it for me. Hope everyone has an awesome day!
This is the first year I'm not coloring. The boys haven't asked and I'm not bringing it up. Plus, we leave for Florida and won't be around to eat them.
You can use my very conservatives daughter's response when her very liberal employer "highly recommended" that she take the vaccine, "my body, my choice". She said the boss's jaw dropped, before she turned away in a huff. 😆

It's snowing slightly, not an April Fool's joke. It won't accumulate but still.
My neighbor asked me if I was vaccinated and I responded with did you get your pap smear yet and went on to explain that people asking others about any healthcare information is just rude. She is a nice person but on the liberal side. so...

Here's a pretty way to use up some of
those Easter eggs.
Peel them, and slice in half lengthwise.
Remove yolks to a small bowl. Cut the
whites into long slices. Arrange the
whites on a slice of lightly toasted white
bread in a sunburst pattern, leaving the
center empty.
Mash the yolks well, and put through a
fine sieve. Spoon the yolks into the
center of the whites, and cover with a
nice ladle of medium white sauce (2T
butter, 2T flour, 1C milk). If you have
chives, insert to make a stem, or you
can use scallion tops that have been
sliced into thin strips.
I've done this for years, and we always
know what we're having for Easter
breakfast!
