DH's great niece came over to
help pull about 100 watermelons
from the field. She puts them in
the front end loader bucket, then
DH dumps them into the back of
the pick-up. Four days of selling,
and we're exhausted. But DN is
absolutely fabulous! I ran out of
1/2 pint mason jars - but she found
a full case of them at Kohl's, plus a
case of quarter pint jars. They will
be perfect at Christmas for my
lemon/orange/grapefruit marmalade.
She's truly a blessing!
I feel badly for the livestock and pets
in the area - the neighborhood went
bonkers with all the fireworks, from
about 8:00 to 2:00.
