Exhausted from yesterday. My
Eastern Star chapter feeds the
Masons once a month, as a fund
raiser for the chapter. The men
from the lodge put their donation
into a jar when they pick up their
food.
My co-worker and I made roast
loin of pork, fresh mashed potatoes,
cut green beans, cole slaw, garlic
bread, two kinds of gravy, applesauce,
and creme brulee cheesecake bars for
dessert, along with (strong!) coffee
and iced tea.
We collected $107, and we only served
11 men! They sure did enjoy it!
And we used real silverware and real
china plates. The plates were really
easy to clean, because there were
no bits and pieces left!
For a really FABULOUS and easy
dessert for a crowd, go to Betty
Crocker, and look for Creme Brulee
Cheesecake Bars. It starts with a
pouch of BC sugar cookie mix. All
the men finished the dessert bars,
and some even came back for 2nds!
It was a hot and humid day!! Nothing exciting happened, work, lol. Momala those bars sound delicious. I thought is was Thursday earlier, huge let down!! Night all!! XO
