So how has everyone been? I don't know what changed, other than I got a new phone, but I took a chance, and here I am.
Happy Wednesday!

Hi ya Trudy, how's tricks? How's your fella? Last I heard he was to have eye surgery. And the cat? Is the cat still a terror?
FWM, is Cate starting school this year? I've seen the heat indexes for y'all. Goodness, it's hot.
Lindley, how are your grandbabies? Have you got to see them with all this stupid covid crap going on?
FNW, I wondered where you went on FB. How are the boys?
I'm doing alright. The kids and grandbaby are well. Everyone is working, healthy, and living life. My nephew finally deployed, he's somewhere around Guam. He'll be back in about a year or two. Niece is engaged. Not thrilled with that, but she is an adult.
Caitlyn is seeing a really nice guy. He's calm, laid back, works hard, has a great sense of humor, is ready and willing to do whatever Caitlyn wants or needs, and Jewel liked him. He's good with her, too. Never over reaching, they talk and laugh and he plays with whatever she gives him. Really engaged with her. The relationship is new, but it seems to be a good one.
Jesse and Abigail are working and saving up to buy a place. They have a cute, but very small, apartment, they want to build in a few years. We'll see. They are doing really well.
Aaron is getting ready to move out. He's moving to Kennesaw with a friend either in September or December. Depends on current renters move out dates. I'm not thrilled that he'll be almost 2 hours away, but what can I do? It helps that I have an aunt and cousin who lives in Kennesaw, though. At least Aaron won't be completely without someone if he really needed.

The boys are good. They will be entering 8th grade. #1 has a temper, but he's aware and is working on it. Hormones are throwing him. I left FB because they were deleting my posts and completely deleted my mother. She posted a Trump tribute video and they deleted every thing she had up except her profile. All pics, posts. Everything was removed. Then I heard (from a company that issues subpoenas) employers were subpoenaing employees' social media records and anyone who didn't fall in line with their politics, were letting them go. So I deleted FB and Twitter. I plan to retire in December 2023 so I may or may not go back. I'm really not missing the time zapper but I do miss knowing what my friends are up to.

8th grade sucks. The whole 6-8 grades are awful for everyone. He'll get through it.
I understand about the deleting on FB. I use it mostly for keeping up with family.

GG is mad. Still can't see. I want to go rip that doctor but he won't let me.
I don't blame him. What's the deal with the doctor? You want me to come up there? I'll do it. And I'll bring a great big stick!

It is good to see you, congratulations to Jesse and Abigail may they grow even closer as the years go by, happy that Caitlin found a nice guy, I know how hard it is to see your babies fly the coop. I have six grandchildren now, both sides has 3. Yes we got to see them and we are going to the smoky mountains this September Both kids and their families and husband and I.
Hiya Lily!!! So nice to see you on!!
Hi everyone else!! Helluva day at work. Then took DD out to dinner, it’s the one year anniversary of her dog attack. She was really obsessing about it today.
Nothing much happening
here - hot and humid, with
lots of (unusual for July)
rain. 5" in two hours is a lot.
DH sold out on his watermelons,
and I finished the last of my bread
and butter pickles. Can't find 1/2
pint canning jars anywhere - and
they're even backlogged on the
internet.
Roofer who came yesterday to
give us an estimate on repairs
to the rent house (lots of wind
damage, thereby allowing leaks)
gave me an order for 20 jars.
Now I just have to find the jars.
We went to the Smokies a couple weeks ago. It was a lot more crowded this year. We made it to Dollywood, too, and stayed at her resort.
I’m hoping since we will be going in September after school starts and bef the fall coloFS pop out it wouldn’t be to crowded. One of the benefits of having grandchildren who is being homeschooled.
When the boys were in public school we would take them out for maybe a day and do long weekends in the fall. But their Catholic school schedules parent/teacher conferences on that long weekend so we can't leave anymore. And if they miss a day they would miss out on more than in public school.
