The roofers showed up a day early!
They were scheduled for tomorrow,
but I got a call at 8:00 saying they
had a window and could do it today.
What a scramble to get the 4 vehicles
moved out of the way. This is for the
rent house, which I think is starting
to be a money pit.
But one good thing is - he bought 19
of my jars of bread and butter pickles!
(That's all I had on hand.)
Men are the biggest wimps. Can't get DH out of bed. Said his lower abdomen hurt. Duh, he's taking pain meds on an empty stomach. Read him the discharge instructions. Added a few of my own. So he's up now and taking work calls and eating a little. Told him I realize my surgery was different as it was considered major, but I was told the sooner I get up and resume normal activities the sooner I would heal. He said it hurts to get up. Duh. That's why you get up. Grrrrrrrr.

DH did that when he had his gall bladder out. Whine whine whine and more whining. Yes, it hurts. You just had an organ removed. And, it's going to hurt as long as you stubbornly ignore the doctor's instructions to walk. Unsurprisingly, when he finally moved his caboose off the couch and started walking, his pain mostly went away.
This morning, on my walk, a tiny lizard ran in front of me...and I squished him!
