Good morning, my pretties!

Another nice day here. I didn't get to work in the garden yesterday. Maybe today.

What are you up to?

I hope everyone has a good day.smile

Good morning! Kiddos coming over and then off to get ready for our trip tomorrow. Made the mistake of telling my grandson that hat we might get to see some bears, thought he would be excited, but nope.

Uh oh, Lindley. I hope he's not too scared.

Personally, I am afraid of bears. That's why we stayed at a hotel. LOL We rented cabins in WV when the boys were two, and I was afraid to go between cabins at night. I did it, but I was scared. I made a bunch of noise to warn them. Picture the girlfriend on Parent Trap (the original) where the girl tricked her into clapping the wood or whatever it was together as they hiked. That was me.

Black bears climb trees. Can you imagine looking up and seeing one up there? My ex boyfriend/friend took a pic of one in his tree in So. Cal. I told him I hoped he used the zoom lens. Nope, got right up underneath. Ugh.

Thank you fwm, so far no bears, drive here was horrible, pouring rain, congestion on every highway due to roadwork and accidents, got right in a middle of some kind of cruising in downtown town prigeon forge that took a hour in a half to make our turn, which should have been ten minutes. Trucks with neon lights and people in the back of trucks and calling out for more people to climb in the back, people sitting along the highway in lawn chairs. What the heck? I have to say with all the issues, the littles done great.

Sorry to hear about the congestion! We faced a lot of that as well together with a rain storm on our way down, too. We will probably take a break from that area for a few years. It was so much nicer during covid when it wasn't as crowded.

It got better, took the kids to a dinner theater that is about pirates, the kids absolutely loved it, including the babies, my husband and I stopped to pick up some groceries and saw a bear in the middle of the street, didn’t tell my grandson though. We went hiking and had a picnic, supposed to go to Dollywood, bummed that it’s 94% chance of rain. I would love to come when it’s fall time, hopefully someday, but the North Carolina side.

Get to Dollywood as soon as they open to avoid the long lines. And get that express pass thing if you can. We stayed at her resort so our tickets came with it. It really made a difference in our visit. The waterpark was pretty fun, too.
