Oh, what was the crisis?

We had a nice Halloween. DH & I and #2 walked through the neighborhood to see everyone. It was fun, and probably the only time a year we get to see most everyone. Found out the woman next door and woman across the street are both expecting. You'd think I'd know that, but it was news to us!

We had my parents over for dinner and they held down the fort while we strolled. #1 was tired after practice, so he watched some show with Papa. We set up a couple of animation figures on the front porch with a bowl of candy and the kids could help themselves without having to get up and answer the door. Most neighbors set up tables at the foot of their driveways with candy for the kids. I wish they had done that when we were taking the kids because these driveways are steep and I was always exhausted by the time it was over. One of the good things that came out of COVID I suppose.

I got my first Christmas catalog Saturday.
On my drive to work this morning someone had Christmas lights on their house.
It’s. Too. Soon.

Sonic kept messing up his order or so he believed,  we decided to go to the park and eat but as we were pulling out #2 had to go to the bathroo, took forever and #1 and baby girl started fussing cause they were hungr, gave oldest his food and tried to feed baby girl but she didn’t like the food and threw it down and wouldn’t eat it,  both #2 and little girl started crying ended up taking them home and fixed #2 and wee one dinner….   Other then that it was great.

Aw, I remember those fussy food times. So frustrating. And the bathroom thing. Ugh. It was actually why I got the minivan. It was big enough inside, I kept a portable potty in the car and would just pull over and have them sit on it (or aim when they got older) between the second row. I know this is horrible, but I was seen one time, throwing one of the "pads" into the woods. It was fully biodegradable and we had a ways to go to our destination (Bethany Beach) and we were in the middle of nowhere and I didn't want to have to smell it for 2 hours. My parents were following us in their car and they were cracking up. Good times.

That was smart idea, it usually isn’t that difficult, but we had a late start. It’s kind of funny now. They were actually very good this past weekend.

One of their preschool teachers told the boys that McDonald's used fake meat and how horrible it was for you and #1 has refused to eat there ever since. Every now and again I send DH while they are at school to pick me up a Big Mac. It's not like I go there for the nutritional value, and every once in awhile isn't going to kill me.
