Good morning, my pretties!

A nice, sunny fall day here.

Hair cut at 10. Then I think I'll take Cate shopping for a new pair of sneakers.

Other than that, not much going on.

How about you?

I hope everyone has a good day!smile

Good morning! Pretty tired after the busy weekend, littles are coming around noon, so relaxing a little bit before they get here. Enjoy shoe shopping with Cate

#1 is still on his high from winning the CYO championship. The school is having a "rock the school colors" day tomorrow where they can deviate from their school uniform to honor our sports champions from the weekend. I guess tennis won their tournament as well.

The men in my family have dentist appointments after school so DH will be picking them up. I have the day off from taxi duties!

My mom just sent me a couple pictures of my aunt. She's lost her mind and is trying to die, but her kids have given in and put her on feeding tubes. It's heartbreaking. She looks scared.

We had a very difficult day yesterday.
I ring with an English handbell choir,
and one of our long time ringers was
diagnosed 12/2019 with pancreatic
cancer. She went to MD Anderson in
Houston, one of the nation's top cancer
hospitals. She had great difficulty with
the chemo - nausea, weight loss, etc.
She and her husband stayed there for
more than six months, then came back
to continue treatment at home. She
never went out, because her immune
system was so compromised, she could
pick up any "bug" that was making the
rounds.

Last week, it was announced at Church
that she would be entering hospice at home.
The Bells got together with her husband,
and got permission to go to their house and
play for her. Her children (adults) moved her
hospital bed around, so she could see us from
her bedroom. Along with the Bells were about
24-25 members from Church, who wanted to be
there when we said "goodbye" to our dear friend.
She had played all of the songs we rang, and I
swear we went through five boxes of Kleenex.

I'm just glad we could ring for her while she could
still enjoy it, rather than at her funeral.
