For me, it's 3 things. One, I don't have as much free time as I used to. My mom's been in and out of the hospital and nursing homes since October 2021. My dad has one foot in the not-gonna-drive camp and the other in the still driving camp. DS' school schedule has me out of the house 5 days per week. He's on summer break now though so at least that's off my plate for the next 7 weeks.
Secondly, while I do enjoy posting with everyone, I'm not "into" message boards much anymore. I'm on FB but don't post as much as I used to there either. I don't know what happened or when but I guess somewhere amidst the chaos of life, I've lost the desire to post anything. Most of what I post on FB is missing people or missing pets. Sometimes, I'll post something funny that DS said or did. I also don't use message boards on my phone.
Third, I don't know what to post. I don't have a life. If I'm not chauffeuring someone somewhere, I'm watching TV or browsing FB. I doubt anyone wants to read "watching Raven's Home" or whatever. I don't have much going on that isn't mundane day-to-day stuff. Buying a new vehicle (which I did post about) was the highlight of the year so far and that's old news now. Pretty sure I posted that I got a mouse for my birthday. That was the only other highlight so far of 2022.
I do think about the geeks though. I hope everyone is doing well.
I'm going through some horrible things since 2020. And it just gets worse. Today my son ran away from the residential facility where he has been. They caught up to him, and threatened hospitalization, but who knows where his destiny lies. It's wearing me out and I have no energy to post. My other son is graduating from 8th grade and that's great, but I was supposed to have two graduating. I don't know whether #1 will. I don't know from one day to the other whether he will be alive.
That seems to be my main focus, although I do enjoy hearing how everyone else is doing.
I’m so sorry that happened fnw, I can’t even imagine what you are going through. I hope you know a lot of us are Praying for you and your family and concerned.
