Welcome to February!

I cannot believe that we're already into the second month of 2023.

Eagerly anticipating my birthday later this month. I'm turning 40! I decided when I turned 30 that I'll do a party for the decade birthdays. My bestie is driving out from SoCal. We're gonna do an escape room on one of the days he's here. Gonna try to get some game time in on another day. Not sure what else. Doing Red Robin for dinner after the escape room for the official party. Then, I'll have a decade to plan my 50th!

Hope February will be awesome for everyone!

Happy Birthday to you too!🥳🎁🎂🎈. Being in my 40s was one of my favorite decades, that and my late teen years.

Daughter and I are taking the grand girls to New York City this year and we rented a beach house close to the outer banks this coming summer. Looking forward to that

DH is planning on taking me
to a fine-dining restaurant for
my 80th so I can get Prime
Rib! I know he's already told
them it's for a major birthday,
so I don't know what will
happen.

Now, if I can only convince him
to wear a jacket . . . . .

5 of our church members came
down with Covid right after our
annual meeting. I sure hope I
don't come down with it for my
birthday.

Have you had it yet Momala? I'll pray for a speedy recovery if you get it. Happy birthday all!

Happy Birthday momala 🎂🎈🥳🎁🎉🌸🌺🌷! Prayers that you don’t catch it and enjoy your wonderful dinner. Lot of Times restaurants would give you a free dessert. On our 30th anniversary they gave us a dessert wishing us a happy anniversary in chocolate.   Sometimes they would sing Happy Birthday.

#1 has been home a couple weeks now and is doing good. He started his intensive outpatient program this week and had his first day at school yesterday. His friends were surprised and happy to see him. His old therapist said goodbye to him last night and she seemed content with what the new program is doing. He moved bedrooms in our house so now I need to do some painting, but prefer to do that when he is at school so I can devote weekends to family activities. The room I need to paint is crowded with stuff that it's too difficult to have more than one person in there painting at a time, so having the boys help would not work very well.

I’m happy for you fnw, I’m especially happy for him that he’s in a better place. Celebrated my husband and son’s birthday today. Watched my grandson’s basketball game. It was a nice day.

Well, I got an early Birthday
present - - - yep, Covid !

Started with a hacking cough
on Wednesday. Saturday, I
took an in-home covid test,
and it was positive. Since
my doctor's office wouldn't
open until Monday, I went
to the local urgent care office
and they sure did take care
of me - steriod shot, breathing
treatment, plus 5 Rx.

Hopefully, I'll test negative on
Wednesday, so I can go out
for my 80th birthday. And
I also hope that it doesn't
pour cats and dogs, as the
weather people are saying
is in store for us. Yes, I know
we desperately need the rain,
but hope it holds off for the
evening.

I’m so sorry momala 😞. Could you change your reservation to another day? Prayers for quick recovery.

My friend got me a Cinnabon pack for my birthday and I'm currently enjoying one. I'm sure my doctor would slap me ;) Oh well ... soooo goooood!

DS is pissed at me. Why? Because his grades are in the crapper and, thus, privileges have been removed. Wah. More privileges will be removed if he keeps up with the attitude so he may want to adjust the 'tude.

My friends at our Community
association welcomed me with
a surprise birthday party at our
monthly meeting! Huge card,
and a wonderful arrangement
of pink roses, asparagus ferns,
mini mums, and tiny white
flowers that I don't know the
name for.

Glad I tested negative for the
last three days, so I could go
to Church. When our Priest
asked for Birthday celebrations,
I was the only one this week.
He asked what I did at church
every week.

My reply was
I sing with the choir
Arrange flowers for the altar
Ring with the Mary Bells
Made knitted knockers
Cook for 2nd Sunday lunches

He jokingly said I was more
necessary than he was ! What
a great tribute.
