I've been doing monthly threads, if you want to read and catch up. Only major updates for me is that my grandma died back in April and DS switched schools for this school year. I've settled into a new normal though.

It really is horrible when we fall, reminds us we are mortal. The good news is I have taken steps to strengthen and build muscle, plus doing impact sports increases bone density. Love what your mom told you!

I don’t know why I have been so clumsy lately, I also tripped into the flower bed watering my plants. Im not dizzy nor having eye problems so I guess I’m getting pretty clumsy. As I sat there on the floor in the foyer leading into the garage as I was accessing if I was injured such as a broken ankle or concussion I was wishing I had my cell phone or I would have to sit there in pain till my husband came home and maybe I need life alert. I was afraid I had a “I fallen and can’t get up” moment all in a few minutes. Our heat wave broke so hopefully I could start walking again soon, may take my weights with me..
My doctor told me as we age we are more clumsy. Just part of it. Also frozen shoulder, which I suffer from and have to be mindful about moving it and rotating it more.

I haven’t been dizzy, just had my eyes examined, no vertigo. I believe fnw is right. I am getting a little older and not as spry like I like to think I am. ( she said her doctor said we get more clumsy as we age, fnw didn’t say because I was getting clumsy).
My grand girls had a great first day of school, one made a new friend and the other said she talked to some girls at lunch and my youngest grandson thought they were staying in school ti Christmas, so he waved and said see them Christmas..

Take some muscle strengthening classes or kickboxing, you should see my muscle oh and BTW don't mess with me, I could kick your Ass!

My company offers virtual PT, it has kept me out of the doctor's office many times, it amazes me that learning how to stretch different regions can "cure" the aches and pains we experience. And the stretches take only a couple of minutes a day.

When I went to see the orthopedist for my shoulder, he prescribed PT. Their next appointment was the following month. I could not wait that long, so I found "Bob & Brad" on youtube and they have a lot of exercises for the shoulder so I started doing those on my own. I ended up cancelling my appointment because they worked and I felt much better.
Yes, it is amazing how moving and stretching can really help cure that which ails us. Now I'm trying to strengthen my legs. I've noticed that since working from home, which for me began early 2019, I don't get up enough and my legs have really weakened.

My job is very stressful for various reasons, to include a merger.
I had a great time today meeting one of my brothers to go to his daughter's basketball game. College and was playing at a college near me. She is a spitfire and such talent!
