9 months down, 3 months to go in 2023!

This month promises to be busy. Bleh.

DH and DS are both dressing up this year. DH is going as a leprechaun. DS is going as a pot of gold.

That sounds so cute! #2 is talking amongst his friends about going as Spiderman, each one from a different spider verse.

Awe! Hope your husband and son have a great time and your son too fnw. I only have my grandchildren and great nephews and nieces that come to my door. I don’t live in town or a neighborhood. Been in the nineties here, hopefully will get some fall weather soon. Got to see my oldest grandson get baptized yesterday , made my heart melt.

As I read some of these posts, I so miss you all. You all were my godsend! Love hearing about your kids, your life.

Yes it's now mid October! Unbelievable. I decorated the front steps with pumpkins and mums but I should put up Halloween decor. Next weekend and will also carve the pumpkins.

Thank you, other issues in my family but got good news after I wrote this post about a much loved family member doing better. One thing I didn’t mention in my first post, but now has calmed my heart. But it still hurts so much to lose my brother he was the last of my family of origin..I hurt for my nephew and his kids for losing a father and grandfather and especially my sister in law. There is going to be a celebration of his life and my husband, my daughter and I are going. My son would but he has things in his family that he needs to stay home for, but fortunately that situation is improving. also hurts to see a business my husband worked so hard with and to see him struggle with having to lay of employees who were good employees. He told them if they find a job before it’s closed to go ahead and take it and those who remained to the end he will bepaying them for two months. They stayed with them till they found other jobs and two stayed to the end. Good group of men.

I’m just all over the place. I’ll be alright, it’s life. It’s just been a rough month. We are having son and family over for dinner and then watch the great pumpkin Charlie Brown so that would be fun.

Thank you, the kids just been picked up so will have to get car gassed up, pack to get ready to leave for Texas early in the morning, his funeral is near San Antonio will stay the night in Dallas and pick up my daughter the next morning from the airport and head on down.

I can’t believe it’s already the last day of October. Hope you all have a pleasant evening and for those who are planning to pass out candy may you have fun seeing all the cute dressed up kiddos. My grandchildren and nephews and nieces are coming by to get their goodie bags, live to far for town kids to come.

Yes He sure is, I’m Praying for comfort for his wife and family. Hope your little boy has fun going out trick or treating, or is he too old for that now? All the you geeks kids are growing so fast. Still can’t believe ikwtd daughter is in college.

Hi, Lindley ~
Welcome to Texas! At least
you missed most of the
torrential rain we just went
through.

Hugs to you and your family.

He went out. He was the pot of gold from Lucky Charms and DH dressed up as a leprechaun. He got himself a big bag candy. Parent tax got paid, of course wink

One of the houses were passing out Fireball shots to the adults. I will enjoy mine when I know I'm not driving early the next day. I'm a lightweight and I choose responsibility.

As what usually occurs with this new batch of friends, they fail to tell their parents of their plans until the day of, and so they didn't go out. #2 kind of expected it, as did we, so no costumes were purchased by us. One kid did and it was expensive, but he said he can return it with no problem. And he said he was going out anyway. #2 had practice, got a concussion, so he wouldn't have been able to go anyway. He's doing much better, and did wander the streets with his brother after the night was over for the littles, and scored some cheesy bread sticks and a lollipop that was handed out by the party goers at the end of the cul de sac.

Thank you momala, I thought about you, I was outside of San Antonio and was wondering if I was close to your town.

Sounds like they had a good time anyway, hopefully their new friends will learn their lesson.
