I love that this is one of the months we get to have fireworks! Looking forward to the 4th.

How about y'all? Any plans for the 4th?

Last full month of summer. I'm sure DS is impressed, lol!

We were going to a bbq/pool party/fire works but it’s 90% rain forecast so it’s been changed to the weekend. People are already shooting off fireworks, the party we go to, it’s almost just as good as a professional. There is no strict fireworks laws in our rural areas in my state.

Happy belated 4th! We had my parents over for a pool party but never even made it outside. It was too hot then it rained, which we needed. No fireworks from the neighbors this year so we shot a couple off of our own and called it a night. #1 is struggling with an injury to the L4-5 which affects his legs and inability to run so he's a little sad about that. He sees a spine specialist this week to go over his options. The doctor himself had the same injury (he was a soccer player) and he treats these types of injuries so there's hope. Fingers crossed. On the plus side, he met a girl while at Duke he really likes, but she lives 3 hours away in Virginia Beach.

We went to another Fourth of July bbq and had a lot of fun, going to a professional event couldn’t be better than the display we had. I hope son #1 injury heals fast and he gets to play again. Meeting a cute girl I. Sure helps :).

I live in an urban area so I can understand why the powers that be put laws in place for the fireworks here but I don't understand the people here who whine and complain about the fireworks. Each year, my local Nextdoor site is filled with fireworks curmudgeons having tantrums about them. Sure, complain about the illegal fireworks. Whatever. But, to complain about the piddly legal ones? Shut up.

Idk if it's changed but the area in Texas in which my maternal side of the family lives has the good stuff. My uncle shoots them off over his field. Fun!

For several days I tried to log on here and it said my IP address was blocked. Did anyone else experience that?

Anyway, how are things today, Trudy?

I didn't but it's been awhile since I've logged in. I don't know how things work on the admin side but it's possible activeboard may have shut stuff down (even temporarily) since LL isn't around anymore - that I know of anyway. Maybe she does pop in but just doesn't post.

Hi! It’s the same. I have a nurse to help me out. Has called in 2X this week. C’mon! I just want to run a few errands. Ugh. I need that. I have my own massive headaches just need a break. Waa-waa. Got another MRI Thursday await the results.
