Not sure what I did. Been limping around several days with a sore ankle but it was feeling better. Woke up a bit ago with my foot hurting, kitties wanted food so I tried stepping out of bed and couldn't even put my foot down. It is swollen like a balloon and very painful! Of course after being in bed all night I really needed to hit the bathroom, had to hobble on one foot and my heel to move around while nervous kitty circled my feet. Pets are fed, gonna take some pain reliever and wait till it's a decent hour and call DD to come over and take care of me.
Wow, Southern Belle, that sounds very painful. Hope your foot heals quickly. I survived the L O N G day yesterday. Watched DGS first football game early in the morning and then headed to my parents home. My baby sister and her family were there also. We celebrated her birthday a day early, with angel food cake, strawberries and ice cream. Us woman folk did our knitting, crocheting and pompom making (and family gossiping) at the table while all the men slept in front of a football game or two. It was a great day. Made it home in time for the Nebraska game at 9:30 last night, so I watched it from my bed.
My ribs (broken numerous times) have been giving me fits this last two weeks, Southern Belle. I think mine is due to the change in seasons. I really do hope your foot recovers quickly.

I'm really annoyed that today was the only day all week I get to sleep in and my boyfriend woke me up playing stupid games on his phone! My Sunday is not starting off well :(

Wow, Southernbelle, your foot sounds badly swollen! I would elevate it and put ice on it maybe. Could it have been spider bites? My mom got a couple of spider bites when she was sleeping the other night. Her face was swollen and hurt and black and blue on the side that got bitten. She looked like she got punched, but you can see the bites.
I'm finally catching up on badly needed cleaning today. Doing bedding, mopped the bathroom and kitchen floors, cleaned off counters, put garbage out, and I'm trying to cook dry beans for the first time. I never thought about doing it before until I took a nutrition class this summer. The instructor said it was really easy and cheaper than buying them in cans. So I'm doing black beans in the crock pot and will portion them out and freeze them. Hope they turn out.

I am returning to Minnesota after a few days in Florida. It's supposed to be in the low 70's this week, so it won't be too bad of a shock. It was only 46 the day I left.

Southern Belle, I am sorry to learn about your swollen ankle and foot. I am thinking the same as tlc, that it may be a bite of some sort, since it wasn't hurting that much a few days before it actually swelled up. The other diagnosis would be a hairline or mildly displaced fracture. Hopefully you can get to a doctor soon, but elevation and a cold pack as tlc suggested sounds like the best plan for now.
I did a little grocery shopping today. My appetite has not been that great. I have some food in the house now (YAY!), but I just don't feel like eating any of it. Maybe I am burned out on ramen after eating it for so long! I have not been eating dinner for the past week. I get home and sometimes I feel hungry, but don't feel like preparing anything. This has happened before. I am sure it will pass. Otherwise, not much else going on today. A sedate Sunday for me, you could say.
