I'm not sure I'd join this one, as I am not on the last one, but I have no issues with a new FB page being created, since everyone can make the choice on whether to join or not.

I believe that is how it works, Czech. Being members of the same group doesn't mean you can peruse their profile, unless you are either fb friends or have a public profile.

Yes, they have access to other members within the group page, but not on personal pages from what I understand. They can go look, but can not post on the members page without being a friend first on the personal page.

I belong to several private groups and have never had a problem with someone from the private group getting to my personal page. But, I do have it locked down rather tight.

The issue before was that members of the Facebook group tell who they are. Then, when someone posted on GT about a facebook group, another member went and told that group about the GT thread and who the person was and caused a debacle.

And with all the hate that has spewed my way - no way in hell was I staying on a Facebook group with some of those people.
