I just saw that several of my neighbors have red Christmas lights up. Is there a reason why they're all red?

Isn't this a little early for Christmas?

Maybe they are for blood/Halloween? I don't know. Halloween lights are usually orange. Maybe it's Halloween boycotters putting up Christmas lights in protest.

Maybe they wanted orange lights for Halloween but were too cheap to buy them and hoped no one would notice they are red?

My neighbors keep white lights up all year round in their trees for when they have get togethers.

I would guess red because they thought it was creepier than the orange and purple Halloween ones. Either that, or they wanted to get a head start on their Christmas decorating but didn't want to be too obvious since it is only October.

I have clear lights up all year. We use them for entertaining and as security lights.

I've noticed a few homes using red lights for Halloween. It looks pretty spooky, to me.smile
