CNN is doing a show about the San Francisco earthquake. It was 25 years ago, I was there. I am literly shaking right now. I havent thought about that day for many years. Seeing it brought it all back....wow. I've never had a flashback before.
I'm changing the channel, I just cant watch it. I thought it would be cool to stroll down memory lane. Uhm...NO.

That's how I react to the videos of the Twin Towers attack. My son was a few hundred feet way, and I was in a panic until he made contact ... and then when he finally walked in the door, after 5:00.
I think flashbacks are not necessarily bad. For me, a year after I was in a bad collision, I saw (and recorded) a very similar collision right in front of me.
As I was editing the video, I was getting flashbacks and the feelings of panic; but they got weaker every time I rewatched the video.
But the World Trade Center September 11th attack still brings up anger and panic feelings.
