It's good. It's my go to at new Italian restaurants.

Spaghetti and chicken with parmesan over both. Simple enough.

Me too Lily.  It is simple & good & kinda hard to screw up.

The chicken & waffles my family ate is nothing like the chicken & waffles that I had at IHOP.  Ours was more like chicken a la King over waffles.  No peas just shredded up chicken in a creamy gravy over waffles.  It is yummy.

Chicken and waffles? I know. It seemed weird to me too.

But when I make it, I make the waffles more savory than sweet. The chicken has a bit of a kick to it. And the syrup or honey just seems to kick it up a notch.

And how many use honey to dip chicken in?

it's good.

I use the Tyson chicken breasts. and my waffles are made by the directions on the bisquick box and add salt and pepper. so they are not as sweet.

We use honey or syrup over them.

No peas or other veggies.

It is clouding up again. It's 65. It doesn't look good.

Another round I guess.

We have our decorations up for Halloween. Real spider webs and crunchy leaves.

See I stop cleaning the spider and cob webs about a month before Halloween. We have those big writing spiders and they come down about this time of year and do all the decorating for us.

But I may make a headless guy for the porch again this year. Havent done that in a few years.

The kids are going to a church party on Halloween and I will stay here and give out candy if anyone shows up. If not, I will eat the candy.

I don't decorate for holidays anymore. It just seemed like more work every year so I eventually just stopped. I'm lazy. The kids still come for candy. They don't care.

I'm getting lazy in my old age, too Lexxy. The kids didn't want my skeletons, so I hung them up. I gave them my other stuff. Jessi was so excited! She had fun putting it up.

And I got a charge out of watching her.biggrin

Give her another 25 years & she'll be in the same boat as us.  I'm glad she had a good time decorating her first house.  That is an exciting time.  Just imagine how she'll be at Christmas.  Are going to clean out your Christmas decorations & hook them up?

I still enjoy putting outdoor Christmas lights up. It's something my cats can't mess up.wink

I will give them a bunch of my indoor stuff. I can't put it all out anymore. Too many curious paws around. But I know Conor and Jessi will have a blast with it.

They really are enjoying their first place. I'm thrilled for them.smile

Yes, but they are going to wait for a bit. Jessi's sister is getting married Nov 15th. Another sister got married last year. Her parents need a little break from weddings.wink

We only get teenagers who just knock on the door and hold out their hand. No costume, no "trick or treat", not bag, just gimmie. Sorry, don't give candy to someone old enough to grow facial hair and drive.

I remember one year I refused candy to some kids like that, and their PARENTS were waiting for them in the street and looked pissed! I was like what the eff really?

We have a neighborhood filled with little ones...Mr. FNW & I take the boys out, and my parents come over and pass out candy. This year my mom is dressing up as a witch with a really scary mask, rocking on our front porch, with scary music playing.

We don't get trick or treaters often. My cousins will bring their little grandkids but that is about it.

If we do get a teen and they are with little kids I will give them candy too. I give mom and dad some candy too.

I can usually get away with one big bag and have some left over.

If I know for sure the kids in my family are coming, I may just make them some cupcakes this year. A dozen would be more than enough.

I give candy to the big kids too, but I don't think I've had any with facial hair though. I also give candy to the parents if they want some. Adults like candy too. Usually it's a parent telling a little one to pick that one it's mommy's favorite so I just hand the adult the one of their choice & let the kid pick one too. I go through about 10-12 big bags. I live in a cookie cutter neighborhood with lots of kids.

We get anywhere from 150 to 200 kids. I love passing out candy. We usually sit in my driveway with some neighbors.

I'll easily blow over $100 in candy. I like to buy the good stuff.smile

I get the good stuff too. why give out yucky candy?

I have to wonder what to do with all those packs of whoppers though. You get a bag of chocolate mix and it has Hershey bars, Kit Kat bars and Reece's cup but then they have those stupid nasty whoppers in there and there is always twice as much of those.

Maybe I could send them to that whopper lover here. Who was it again?confuse  evileye

I'm at about half that I'd say.  I always buy chocolate like Snickers & kit kat & Reese's.  A mixed bowl but always chocolate.  I don't like things like sour patch kids or skittles (don't tell Squeaks) so I don't buy them because I don't want them left over.

I'll take them.  I like Whoppers & the Milk Duds too.  I stopped eating Milk Duds though when I started having teeth issues.  I wouldn't want to pull off a crown.
