It is impossible to find a comforter that is washable. Best you can do is usually a quilt or duvet and I HATE duvets. I don't want to wrestle the comforter part into a giant pillowcase. Tried all the tricks and I never can get it in straight and flat.
I wash all mine. I kind of ruined one, in that it shrunk so it doesn't fit the bed anymore, but it got real soft and squishy, and it's AWESOME for cuddling on the couch with now.

Don't you find that all the stuffing shifts and gets lumpy?
Yes. When mine get too lumpy I buy a new one. This one hasn't gotten lumpy yet. I have no idea if it is supposed to be washable or not. I never checked the tag I just wash it.

Lumpy comforters become floor comforters at our house. The pets love them.

Vette! DO NOT PAY THAT BILL! DN does billing. She works in the billing department of a hospital. She says the insurance companies do this all the time. Enter wrong data, leave data missing, or just take their time filing stuff so the bill expires and goes to collections. She says about 98% of the time the insurance needs to pay. Her job is to call the insurance on behalf of the hospital and the patient and get it straightened out. Be proactive.
Hi everyone. I am not disciplined enough to point out everyone individually so I hope everyone is having a good day.

My quilts have high heels and flowers on it. We won it in a raffle. It's a perfect Summer quilt.
I got to start some Christmas shopping. A few shirts for the boys. I did go ahead and get some wrapping paper and boxes cause those get scarce closer to Christmas.
Sore like the dickens now. But C and I had fun being out together.
It's getting cold here.
I have to catch up on the thread.

I got a call from a debt collector today :( Apparently my last ER visit got denied by my insurance.
Luckily I'm paying it off right away so she said it won't affect my credit, whew!
Shouldn't you check into WHY it got denied first before handing over money? It may be a simple clerical error.
Yea. I would check into that before paying it.
ETA: we got a bill for the hospital stay for Baby A and it turns out it was denied because they entered her b-day wrong. Once it was fixed they paid

When I had DD10 they denied the whole claim because she was born on February 29th. Our policy renewed each year on March 1st, and ended on February 28th.
Leapyear is every 4 years - it's not that uncommon people.

I'm telling you people. This is DN's JOB. To fix mistakes the insurance companies make. But it only happens if the person calls and complains or tries to find out what went on.
She told me once about this couple who had a little girl. A week later they had to take her to the ER because she wasn't eating. She ended up with a feeding tube because something was wrong with her stomach. The insurance company denied the whole claim because the couple couldn't produce a birth certificate. Well, they hadn't received one yet! By the time the claim was denied and went round and round the birth certificate was in and DN submitted it and got their claim paid.
She also told me one of DS's teachers daughters was in the psych ward. She never tells me names though. I've asked her to make sure she doesn't so she doesn't get in trouble for violating HIPPA.

I have someone call every now and then saying I owe a doctor bill. They always want a SS number. I wont give them that. Then they want some other way to identify me. I let them ask me questions. They always get the wrong address or the wrong age or something wrong and I tell them I must not be who they are looking for.
The bill is over 10 years old. I know I don't owe a bill. I have called all my doctors and asked them. I don't owe a thing.

Okay, so I didn't have insurance coverage at the time of the visit so that's why it was denied (naturally). Sucks for me because now I'm footing a $600 bill, and I paid half today.

I just finished a Wendy's cheeseburger on a pretzel bun. I had to keep sneaking back & eating it, so the last half was cold.
flan
Are those things good? I mean would you drive across town for one?

I like some of the pretzel crust things. Lean Pockets has a spinach and cheese with a pretzel crust that is good.

I think the pretzel crust pizza at Little Caesars looks gross, but everyone says it's awesome, so I might have to try it.
It was good when it was hot. Not so much the second day.

When you get there, can you keep her off GT for the rest of the night?

Sure!

I went to a workshop hosted by Jim Gill, who writes children's songs. He has also published 2 books. The book I bought was based on the song: "May There Always Be Sunshine." I'll probably use it in story programs & give it to her when she's a little older.
