Mine is because that's what DH calls me. I love the song but I am not tiny (although I am short) and not a dancer. It's just how he thinks of me he says so who am I to argue...lol

Well I think everyone from MM knows my story.

Mine started out as lilyvonshtoop. After the Madeline Kahn character Lily VonShtup from Blazzing Saddles.

When the mess started over there my screen name got banded cause it was too close to swearing I guess, so I changed my screen name and then they imposed a posting limit for new posters and I just kept using forms of the same name so I wouldn't confuse anyone.

lilyofcourse stuck.

It became down right comical.

My ethnic makeup is Czech, Gypsy and Norwegian. The Czech-Gypsy side is who I identify with. That part of the family was fun. The Norwegian side, not so much. So, I picked a name that reflected my fun family genetics. smile

Way back in the early days of The Office, Jim & Michael & Dwight were being "punny."

"Custardy" instead of "custody," and "flan" instead of "fan."

Later, I found out that Nathan Fillion had once slipped & said, "Firefly FLANS" instead of "Firefly FANS," so I loved the name even more!!!

Originally, I was Momma is Going Back to School. It was September, I had just started some college courses again, DD was off to college and I needed a screen name. It seemed appropriate.

After a few years, I got promoted at work and had to stop going to school because the promotion came with too many benefits to pass up. Then I became Momma is Back to Work.

Now, with my less stressful life, and the wonderful new job and living situation... Mellow Momma just fit perfectly.

Always Momma though because I had my first DD at 19 and before anything else, I see myself as a mom. And momma is what the girls always call me. Rarely Mom until they got to middle school.

I started watching Castle because the story sounded interesting, fell in love with Nathan Fillion and THEN discovered Firefly. It's a fantastic show, but I'll always choose Rick Castle over Mal...Mal looks like such a baby, I feel like I'm robbing the cradle.

Just Czech, I can identify with you playing down the Norwegian side - my home town was heavily Norwegian and the rest mostly German or Danish. The Norwegians were definitely too serious for their own good. LOL (My mother was Norwegian....)
