Ohhhh, did ya go do wet willies for a daiquiri? Savannah has much more lax booze laws. In Beaufort county you can't walk from one bar to another with a cup of livations. Savannah doesn't care.
I was with a GF. I don't remember where we had lunch.
I have made venison jerky. I used to make jerky often when I was married. Ex was in the military and he liked to carry it in his pack when he went out in the field because it was light and had protein and it was non perishable.
I love Savannah. The whole place is beautiful. Love Tybee too. I could live on Tybee and never need another vacation.
I have always wanted to do the architecture tours and the ghost tours. There is a museum there I would love to visit too. It's relatively new and I cant remember the name of it.
I love the fort too.
What street are you staying on?
Is the toy store still there? It was on the river. Lots of the older toys.

I want to do it for the history. You get a different, more interesting version of history.
If I show up with my electric chair would I be able to still do the tour?

The regular carriage tours age good as well. I have done it a few times and it's always different. The guides have a basic script but then they add their own stuff. The visitor center is a good place to stop for all the tour info. You just have to be careful in that part of Savannah. There are shootings almost every day. If you go a block or two past the visitor center the neighborhood gets bad.
If you want to explore a little farther south, come to Amelia Island..about 2 hours south, and lots of interesting history and ghosts. I am a stone's throw from a great old cemetery dripping with Spanish moss and legends...guaranteed no shootings.
Legendary saloon!

Well I may have to take a little trip some time. I'm in North Georgia so it isn't that far.

And I still need to get my dad and his wife a gift and a little something for my brother. I was thinking a bottle of top shelf vodka for dad and wife and stuck on what to bring brother.

Good morning Geeks. I am back at work & getting slammed a little but I really enjoyed having a 4 day weekend. I still have a bunch of time off left so I will be taking several long weekends in November. Possibly every week!
My aunt is coming to stay with my mom for a while. She has had some medical issues. Then a few weeks ago she was driving to a Dr. appointment & these teens were goofing off on the sidewalk on a bike. The teen hit a big mailbox & flew out in the road & she ran him over. She wasn't at fault but is having a bit of a melt down over it. I can't imagine how that would feel. I think about it because my neighbor kids are always in the road.
That is just awful Lexy. I know if I hit someone, regardless of fault, I would feel so badly about it.

We did. $40k less. I see there are some things not included, such as any electrical work that needs to be run under driveways, existing patios, etc., so I suspect the price will go up once work begins. It's just a matter of "how much" more....
ouch, a paved driveway? yeah, price is going up. Call dig safe and make sure all utilities are marked.

Last time I was in Miami I was about 10.
Don't you ever watch CSI Miami? You can go outside without tripping over a dead body.

That's terrible. I, too would feel horrible if that happened to me.
So not true! I grew up down there. That's where my family and friends are. I love it!
Wow you must have super powers.
Vegas, New York and Miami all are death traps according to those CSI shows.
I'm just playing. I really haven't been there in forever. It was just beginning to become a destination spot when I was there last.
I prefer the gulf coast area myself. But what I remember about Miami there were places that were beautiful.

I love the gulf coast too. Only 2 days in Fort Meyers, but will be an adventure if we drive around town since we can't run into DD's dad. I can't wait to do all the stuff on the east coast of Fl. that I can't do here!
This past December they cut out all paid vacation from DH's job. He would have been eligible for five weeks paid vacation this year...

I get 8.62 hours a pay period. I've got a little over 300 hours on the books plus a floating holiday. I have to use a week every few months so I don't max out.
I wish DH got his vacation pay. We always saved it and cashed it in for Christmas or paying off a car or something.

This will have to end soon.
Oh Lord. First it was the song the wouldn't end and now the paper that wont end.

We'll be famous at least! Of course it's only fair that we ALL get a cut of the profits when the book deal is made. And for the lifetime movie that follows? I wish to be played by Lucy Hale.

Research on how people who work with trauma victims deal with it's effect on themselves. How they can protect themselves, how their organization can protect them, whether certain jobs require more training or education than they currently require due to the nature of the client population. Its been fun.... :D
