Thanks. Had Lind of a rough day today for some reason.hard to believe I have a 25?+ lb growth inside of me. Tried to explain to my 8 yr old nephew how I'm going to wake up skinny after being so "fat". He asked about what it feels like to go to sleep for surgery. I think it worries him.

TLC, we're pulling for you. We care. Sending good thoughts, prayers, and wishes your way. Do you need virtual hugs? I feel so bad for you. It's so hard to be in the hospital.

I'm sure it is. It's hard being sick and helpless. It's hard not to be able to do what you want when you want. It's hard to depend on other people for your needs. Even little things like not being able to eat what you like can be frustrating.

TLC, you are so independent, as are a lot of us. I can't imagine being so dependent on others for my basic needs. I wonder if that is what is hitting you now? I am so understanding your frustration and being PO'd. Let it go (LL can sing the words, sorry bad joke) Know crying is allowed and encouraged here!

I'm sorry this has been so hard on you, tlc. It really has been a bad week for you. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a little bit better for you.
One day at a time.
Vent away. We will listen and try to be as encouraging as possible. We really are on your side.

I think I'm getting nervous about having stents put in my kidneys which might be tomorrow. Then still need the big surgery to remove the mass.I've had so much done to me because of my disability that you'd think I'd be used t o it by now.
Each surgery carries it's own worries and nerves. That's normal. We're here for you. Feel free to vent to us.

That is the other thing. I feel like such a burden and want to get up and walk around but my legs and feet are so swollen I can't get my braces on so I can walk. Tonight is the first night where my back hurts and can't get comfortable.

I think we all feel like we are a burden when we are so ill. It's normal for us to feel that way. Just remember, you are not a burden. You need help to recover and heal. I know you would gladly do the same for someone who needed you to help them.
Soon, you will be strong enough again and then you can pass the kindness of others forward.
I hope you can sleep tonight. Tomorrow sounds like a long day for you. Sending good thoughts your way.

It has been a really rough week. You are allowed a day to let it all out and feel sorry for yourself. Tomorrow, you will feel lighter for having let it out and you can move on with a positive attitude. I don't blame you at all for feeling down. You just feel the way you need to feel !
We are all here for you and sending our thoughts and prayers to you. Try and focus on that tonight as you drift off to sleep. All the lovely thoughts of peace and healing washing over you from all corners of the geeky globe.
Continuing to send good thoughts your way for a speedy recovery and a lighter emotional load.

I'm so sorry you are having a rough night TLC. I really hope you feel better.
I don't know if this will help or not but I know that for me, when someone needs my help, because they are sick, or whatever, I feel so privileged to be able to do something. Being useful to someone is fulfilling and I like to be useful, and other people like it too, so when I am down I try to remember that other people WANT the opportunity to help me and I should let them. You are blessing them by letting them be a blessing, at least that's how I think of it.

I sold those ureteral stents for six years. Please ask me anything that you might want to ask your doctors, but somehow are not getting clear answers.
For what it's worth, they are temporary. You will probably be asleep or sedated during the procedure, which is not complicated at all.
I've known others who have had multiple surgeries. I don't think anyone gets used to it. You're special because you've been doing wonderful things,
not because you have super powers.

Waiting to hear if they can get me in to put the stents in my ureters today. They want to get them in so they know where my ureters are before the big surgery. And of course I'm starving this morning.

Sounds like surgery won't be until next week. Stents still tomorrow but the main surgery to remove the mass not until next week.
You must be bored and frustrated. Did they give you a reason for the delay? Do they think having the stents in place will help things calm down inside and make the surgery easier or better in some way?
PM if you want to talk about anything that should be confidential.

Stents didn't happen today. I was prepped and in the room then they got a call from the doc that they needed special stents and didn't have them so it has to be rescheduled for tomorrow..
