Good one, Ed. Tomorrow at this time I will be in surgery. I hope it goes the way it should and I wake up without my huge stomach. I'm getting nervous about what could go wrong. I leave at 8 to be there at 10. Surgery at noon.
Hopefully everything will go well and I'll be home in a few days.
You have a goal, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I am sure all will go well for you.
Good luck.

Definitely - you're in my prayers, tlc. Looking forward to hearing, "Gosh, I feel great!" from you soon.
Rather than a cute male nurse or doctor, I wish you ANY nurse who understands what you're going through, and knows what to do to make you more comfortable! And often its the nurses' aids who do most of the hands-on care - nurses concentrate more on meds.
Looking forward to hearing from you later today! Hugs!
Out of surgery. Having muscle spasms. On way morphine pump. It was an ovarian cyst the size is a basketball. Still haven't heard hope much it weighed. My stomach is flat now. Glad it's over.

GREAT, glad it's done. I know you are too !
Water weighs 8 pounds per gallon. What's the volume of a basketball? A lot of things will be easier for you now.
Take the pain meds, don't wait until you think you "need" them. Stay ahead of the pain for at least 2 or 3 days.
Thanks for sharing the good news.

A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
"Stomach muscles" is kind of vague. Possibly the stomach itself (it's almost all muscle),
or you probably mean your abdominal muscle wall, which got stretched by the basketball, and can now contract to your new shape.
What do your doctors say about the spasms? You might need to have a little higher dose of painkillers for a couple more days, so the contractions won't hurt.
Or maybe something so the muscles don't do that.
I've never been involved in follow up care for anything like this, so I'm pretty clueless. Maybe some of our nurses have ideas that can help.

Great news!
If you can draw your knees up, that will help lessen the tension on the abs - lying flat on your back is hard on your stomach and back muscles.
Hugs!
I am so glad to read this!! Yay! You are on the other side of surgery! And it was a success!!
Yeah, muscle spasms are normal. Make sure the nurses and doctors know you may need more pain medication or a combination of pain meds to keep the pain under control. Take heart, the spasms will lessen with time.
So happy you are doing well!
Thanks for the update!

Haven't had a spasm for a couple of hours now. Hopefully between the Norco and time, they are subsiding on their own.
Good!
You should be moving your feet and legs a little bit, pretty often to prevent blood clots; other than that, (just a suggestion) try to avoid things that make your belly muscles work, for the rest of today. Maybe discuss with your doctors how much exercise, and what type of exercise, you should be doing to help with the healing, and when.

Physical therapy came and I seat on the edge of the bed for a while. I have those things that go around your legs that inflate and deflate, plus they are also giving me a shot of blood thinner.
