Just. Pain is finally tolerable. No spasms since this morning. ordered supper. Nothing heavy, just egg salad sandwich and French fries. Pain is tolerable and haven't had a spasm since this morning. I feel so much better today.
I can't wait to see the doc tomorrow to find out how much the "basketball" weighed.
So glad you are feeling so much better! Yay, the spasms are almost gone!
A light meal sounds like a good idea. Tummy can be upset easily after surgery for awhile.
I think we are all curious as to how much that tumor weighed.
Hope you sleep well tonight and can start making plans for going home!
Thanks for the update.

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.
Just saw one of the doctors and she said if I can get around and am eating well I can go home as soon as this afternoon, but would probably be tomorrow. Should be able to go home to my house.

That is great news, tlc! I hope you are home soon!

GOOD !!!
We should have a party to celebrate, or at least have cupcakes!

What great news, TLC!!! Definitely a good reason to celebrate!
According to the attending Dr, I will get nephrostomy tubes out today or tomorrow. Physical therapy is coming to see what I can do and if I'll need skilled care when I go home for a while. Got IV out also.
No you didn't miss it. They won't know until the pathology report comes back. Maybe I'll celebrate in a few months. My sister said this would either bring us closer together or we won't want to see each other for months. I'm so introverted that I don't like a lot of people around. It has started to bug me since the surgery. It's a constant stream of people from the hospital, especially in the morning. Can't wait to get home and just have a few days alone.

:( This must feel like a total loss of control over your life. I hope you mend back to your full level of health soon so you can spend your days as you please.

TLC, I completely understand the introversion (is that a word? ). I'm that way myself. If I'm around even a few people for too long, I'm thinking up ways to go home and have quiet time. I've always been more of a loner, not a party person.
I'm happy for you that your family loves you and is taking care of you.
Got half of my staples out today. The rest will either be tomorrow or Monday. I walked again this morning, went a little farther than yesterday, but when I tried to walk to the bathroom, my legs kept giving out. Must have overdone it. Then I slept for 2 hours. Pain is getting better overall. It hurts after I walk.
I don't know if I will be ready to go home on Monday yet or not. The doctor said I could decide when I was ready to go, so Monday isn't set in stone.
Just got a call from the surgeon that took out my mass, and the pathology came back - no cancer. I really didn't think there was cancer anyway. Also, the mass wasn't as big as they thought. It was 16 lbs.

So it was slightly bigger than a basketball.
I expect that your recovery will continue to be uneventful.
