I don't like booking hotels unless I have a recommendation from someone who actually stayed there. I hope you get to move to a different room. But also the weekend is over so maybe that night club won't be an issue the rest of your stay.

They are changing our room. The girl tried to act shocked that we could hear the music. I told her I could hear every word the DJ said. We were cheering when we heard last call. There are event calendars posted all over. They have stuff every night.

Flan, that sounds like an excellent choice!!

SB, I had a similar experience in a motel in the Los Angeles area on a business trip a few years ago. Arrived Sunday night prepared for meetings and classes early the next morning. Directly below my room the hotel staff was having the yearly employee's party (read: slow night so ok to use it for employees, I suppose). The room was still vibrating from the music at midnight and the party finally broke up around 1 a.m. The WORST part was the front desk staff lying like rugs about the hotel being full, thus avoiding the trouble of allowing me to change my room (the hotel was most certainly NOT full, which I discovered the next morning). By the time I saw the happy staff drifting to their cars as the party broke up, I wanted to open my window and scream at them, gesturing with both hands (and fingers) in a manner that Honey's Mom never does. Luckily my window did not open. Lack of sleep makes me VERY grumpy...

I'm awake. My eyes hurt. The screen hurts them. I'm tired. Luckily I don't have to go to work today. The charge nurse got me approved for 6 hrs OT last night which replaces my shift tonight. And then I have two days off.

The client is okay - just having a little break with reality.

Did meet friend #1 at the dog park, after a lot of intrepedation, Sonny loved it. About an hour after going there I brougth Sonny home and went and met friend #2 for lunch. AWESOME DAY DD came home and we took Sonny for a long walk. DD found a strange seed pod and picked, we took pictures, but she is researching it and bringing it in to her teacher. Did I mention she is only 9? She is my scholar child.

She still isn't sure which end is up in the kitchen, but she tries!

Oh my, I have a sister like that. Good thing her DH loved to cook, otherwise her boys would not have made it past the age of 2. I swear, she could burn instant oatmeal.

Her DH had to make meals in advance and freeze them for her.

I can't believe she is my sister. She has NO SKILLS in the kitchen whatsoever!

But she can quilt like a maniac! Now there she has skills! smile
