Wicked is an amazing book and a beautiful musical. I love musicals. I saw RENT before it went off, before I saw the movie. idina Menzel is awesome.

 

Elphaba is a great screen name. Her character is awesome. Especially in the musical.

I saw Rent off Broadway years ago. Drew Lachay played Mark Cohen. We had front row seats. I learned I don't like sitting in the front as I worried sweat would drip on me, and that grosses me out. Good show, however.

 The guy in the back is an amazing satirical author and artist.  Check out some of his stuff if you have a chance (Douglas Coupland).  Not sure who the woman is, but the guy in front is Jian Ghomeshi.  Up until recently he was a radio host on CBC with an amazing culturally based show.  He has been described as the "Golden Goose" of the CBC.  He was fired two weeks ago when there was 'graphic proof' that he was sexually assaulting women under the guise of BSDM.

Nobody wanted to believe it at first and there was a lot of victim shaming and Ghomeshi himself was talking sh*t about how these women were jilted ex girlfriends who were just trying to get revenge, etc. etc., but now we are up to 9 women coming forward with claims of either rape or sexual assault against him.  He's suddenly been quite quiet about the whole thing...

The link below is one of the original ones - there haven't really been any updates in the last week or so.  Once the charges were pressed, Ghomeshi and CBC both shut up about the whole thing.  It is, however, gossip on a national level!

My husband had surgery last week and he only took a couple of his pain meds. Then he hid them. :(

I swear, If I had been around in the 60s I never would have made it through...

The only pills I can't take are Vicodin. They make me queasy. Oh and Amoxicillan gives me UTIs. But Amoxicillan isn't any fun anyway.
