I thought that marriage and (supposed) monogamy were designed so that men would men would stick around and help support and protect their own children.

Single mothers and their children were at high risk of death without someone to provide for them.

Honestly I think genderfluid is just a fancy word for a transsexual with commitment issues.

I have a genderfluid friend. I have a hard time with it. I don't really know what it means. I also find it almost insulting--being a woman is awesome, and I don't understand why it isn't enough for her.

One day you're a girl. The next you're a boy. The next day you're a girl/boy. Then you're a boy/girl. I think that's how it works. Not in any particular order though. Just as the whim hits you I guess...

What is genderfluid?
_______________

to me it seems more like a case of " i'm not a flower, i'm a horse or no, i'm a bird " as if using a different name for what you are makes any difference

in a word, asinine

Undecided? Ambiguous? I want whatever I want when I want it?

I remember when people would ask a pregnant woman, "do you want a boy or a girl?" and the best answer was, "Yes."

"Yes." is always a good answer to that question, ed. Even today.

People were annoying my BIL by asking if they were hoping for a boy after their two girls. He got sick of telling people he was happy with his girls so instead he said "Not really, we're trying for an alien this time."
