Just paid $2.69 a gallon. If I had used the gas station's fuel card it would have been $2.59. What are you guys paying?

Oh, we're bad but Illinois is worse. Going from Indy to Kansas City, we NEVER got gas in Illinois...

It might have been a fluke, but back in July, had I filled up in Illinois, I would have saved about 50 cents a gallon.  Stupid me, I got nailed, in Indiana.cry

Current prices in my state range from a high of $4.56 to a low of somewhere around $3.64 (at Costco).  The station nearest my house which I pass by on a regular basis is $3.95.  These are all prices for regular.

2.95 here

I have friends in Indiana still and when we chat about gas prices, they are always higher in Indiana. Apparently there is an additive in gas that most surrounding states require. Indiana does NOT require the additive so they have to have other gas sent in. This causes the price to be higher.

Typically in Ohio the gas is about .25 cheaper than Indiana. At least.

People who say the government doesn't manipulate the gas prices are the ones that are naively crazy.

$2.69 and $2.89 - two different stations, diagonally opposite each other. Guess who had lines waiting to gas up? :)

It went down here too. On Election Day and before it was 3.09. After Election Day it has been below 3.00 from 2.99 - 2.95.

Don't get used to it. Your stations may have filled up their tanks later than the others at the lower rate.

Of course, I do expect prices to go down as soon as Congress approves the Keystone pipeline.

Our has gone down since Tuesday also. I saw it for $2.89 by my house and $3.09 by work. My light came on just as I pulled into work.

What's crazy is the lower income areas the price is higher. Of course anywhere near the strip or airport it is probably still in the $3.50 range.

Ours went down to $2.60 today. If I drove into downtown to Sam's we could get it for twenty cents less.

Ours is still at 2.95 which is not typical. It usually goes WAY up on Friday before the weekend driving begins.

Or gas prices could be just dropping due to the cold weather and end of the "driving season".

I fully expect them to go up around the holiday when people are driving - but that will be supply and demand talking. Not a conspiracy theory.

About $3.44 US a gallon. We likely have near the lowest gas prices in the country.

Gas prices are all about conspiracy.  It a politician whispers "possible oil shortage" the prices skyrocket.  It's ridiculous.

Well, I will be the downer, I do not think they will drop much. Oil is a global commodity traded on speculation. The oil is still beng supplied in canada, xl just will change the delivery system. global supply will not change.

we buy gas at Costco. lately it has bounced between $2.67-2.75. it actually depends which Costco we are at. the one closer to I-95 tends to be higher than the one in Manassas.

Ok so I get a lot of people think the drop in prices has to do with an election season, I don't think so. I am a scholar of business, study this stuff for fun. Yep very geeky. Thing is the US demand has dropped and our production had increased. I firmly believe the Saudi's see this and wanting to keep their market share are over producing letting the prices drop really low. Letting the price drop low will make US oil extraction costly, meaning the cost will be more than the revenue which will compel the US to cut back on production. I believe the Saudi's are manipulating us.

Saturday I needed to get some gas cause I was about out.

The place I stopped had gas at 2.00. I put $15. in and when we pulled out it was 1.99.

Then I went Monday to actually fill up. I had a fuel perk of .70 and the station I had to use it at, I got gas for 1.48.

Filled up the van for $22.

Haven't done that ever.

I hope it stays down through Summer. We may get to go to Williamsburg instead of Tampa.
