Slept through the night. Sort of. Work didn't call. Wondering if I can make it through church without getting called in. Still sick. Feel better squeakers.
set up a meeting with my grad school advisor, write a paper in the next week and a half, do my grad research work for the professor I work for, clean my house, do laundry, try to remember what I wanted to do with my Auntie this weekend (it was SUCH a good idea ...), call the storage unit that has my stuff and make sure my payments aren't in arrears, pay my student loan, cancel my gym membership (it's in the wrong city), fix my budget, email contacts about internship, email work collaborators.
The only thing I can take off is the grad school advisor and the budgeting. Well, I guess I can take my Auntie off the list, as the weekend is over. So today's list looks like this:
write a paper in the next week and a half, clean my house, do laundry, call the storage unit that has my stuff and make sure my payments aren't in arrears, pay my student loan, cancel my gym membership (it's in the wrong city), fix my budget, email contacts about internship, email work collaborators, walk the dog.
My niece & her baby are visiting this weekend so my family is going out to eat tonight. Japanese Steakhouse. I can't wait. I love their food & it has been a few years since I have been.
LOVE the dress, Squeakers!! Baby girls are so much fun to dress. Tig, ahh....wow. I do not envy your day. So, get cracking and get it all done as fast as possible. Good luck. Last mild day for awhile here. Tomorrow is going to be a shocker. I am not ready for the deep cold coming.
Have a roast in the oven. We have church tonight and then a soup supper afterwards. So, the day is planned.
I did clean out the drawers in DS's room. Getting the room ready for when they come for Thanksgiving.
This week will be deep cleaning week.
Hope everyone has a great day!

The dress is beautiful! Yep. I am going to have find me a little girl to spoil.
The first Christmas dress I got for C didn't fit. Was too big. I had to find her something else. But she could wear it later.
My pawpaw bought her a Christmas dress before she was born. Had it made for her. She was 2 before she could wear it. I still have it. I hope and pray someday her daughter will wear it.
It's a beautiful day out. Lots and lots of sunshine.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Soooo ... I slept for another four hours.....
Laundry is about ready to be done ... the clean stuff is almost folded. Grrr. Chores ....
Tig - look at you go! You are chipping away at that list. You can do it!!
Squeakers - hope you feel better soon. Keep cooking that baby.
Czech - I am bracing myself for the cold. We know its coming, but we are never quite ready for it.
Flan - glad you went to meeting today. I would tell you to post a synopsis of the message for us, but we all know how that turned out last time. Too soon?! Lol.
Everyone else - hope you are all having a relaxing Sunday!
DD has a game today so that will be fun. DH is struggling with his staff. He is a great coach, but has never had to manage a staff this big before. And they need a lot of managing. I have been giving him tips on how to have "performance conversations" with other adults. It can be tricky sometimes.

LOL indeed!
This one was much less controversial.
There was a newborn boy...I'm guessing a week old. Parents & relatives were there. The pastor had the other young kids come up (4 of them) and the parents with the baby. He held the baby and "dedicated" him to the rest of the congregation. It was lovely & very moving!
At my hometown church, when a couple gets married, during the ceremony the minister asks the guests to take a vow. He asks if we will vow to support the newly weds in any way needed during their marriage to ensure they create a safe and happy home full of love. We all say "I will!" It's always one of my favorite parts of the wedding service.

I have no idea what to get my 16 year old son for Christmas. I have a few things but he is proving difficult to shop for.
Watching the Lorax again. Nothing else on that interests me.

1/2 receipts submitted. The others are in my car. If I go out there I will also have to run errands (and go to Wendy's for lunch). If I get the laundry done (it's going in the dryer now) and put it away and get the two emails sent, can I go out for lunch?? Will I have earned that?
Today is Walking Dead Sunday. I have one load of laundry to do and nothing else. I am not leaving the house.

We are trying to get ready for Thanksgiving. The whole family comes here. Have to clean out the nooks and crannies that don't get noticed most of the time.
Thankfully it isn't that bad.
I try to do something everyday. some kind of cleaning. some times it doesn't happen.

I'm thinking about making brownies. Someone tell me this is a good idea.

I'm exhausted. Did a 24 hour shift, including the overnight at my parents. Had that foolish baby monitor on so we could hear whether they try to get up in the night. Falling risk and all that.
Didn't get much sleep with that foolish thing all night. But no falls.
Just got the lawn mowed of leaves. Now I am taking a nap.
I am not doing any more overnights there this month. Just shorter dinner shifts.
DH was a trooper going with me this time. And he's a great PT coach for my mother's knee rehab. I am grateful for him.

I'll tell you your idea is great if you tell me I can go out for lunch!
You should definitely go out to lunch!
