I binged watch Tidying up with Marie Kondo on Netflix this weekend. Although I am still doing the "one room at a time" as opposed to grouping/tidying into types (clothes, books/papers, miscellaneous then sentimental), after I retire I plan to do it her way. Even so, my drawers currently look great and I just finished the bathroom cabinets. My linen closet looks good but I need to do a little straightening up is all. We cleaned it out and organized it a few years ago and have been able to maintain it since then. But the garage.....I want to gut it and start over. And the basement will take help from DH and the boys.
Maintaining it is always a major chore around here.
And it has never been the kids, it's mom and dad!
The kitchen is the catch'all, and I can't get them to stop putting everything on the table and cabinets.
And they have a bad habit of buying gadgets.
We don't have the space for it.

I've had the original paintings that were Mom's just sitting in the kitchen, about 8 of them. Only two I have a place for hanging. I brought those up to the spare bedroom and then assessed what I need to do in the spare bedroom, it's my catch-all room but I don't want it to be cluttered. I may just clean the closet out and put the clutter in the closet. Most of the paintings are those of the green in the Town I grew up in, thinking about donating that to that town's library.
Short of that, any ideas of places that would appreciate original paintings. This is not something for Goodwill or Salvation army donation.

Yeah, not donating to a for profit restaurant. The library or college or museums in the town of good sources. Will reach out. Plus there is a Community center on the green so the town may just want it and decide for themselves where it should go.

Wore this every Friday, and several Saturdays, during high school.
Had a huge plume that went in it, too, but the we couldn't keep those.
