I finished my Christmas shopping. All but a few things are wrapped. Cards in the mail today.

Bring on the egg nog and sugar cookies!

I don't really like it.

Guess I should have said hot chocolate.

Dad drinks that stuff though.

Lily, you deserve some kind of award. It is difficult to believe that someone has their Christmas shopping done with time to spare. Good for you.

I've started my Christmas shopping. We're trying to firm up ideas for the kids. We're also trying to decide if we're going to have Christmas early or late since DH will be gone for Christmas.

My reward is that I don't have to be in those awful crowds between now and Christmas and I don't have to stress about getting it all done.

I have a few things that I ordered and I am waiting on those. The only thing I haven't gotten are the little candies for the stockings. I can pick that up at the grocery store anytime before Christmas.

I really, really hate crowded stores.

I don't know. I stopped buying gifts for everyone years ago. We buy for our kids and a couple of relatives. I don't even exchange gifts with my sister. She lives several states away and seemed kind of silly to send each other gift certificates. Our parents have passed away so really I just buy for DH and the kids and my BFF. That's it. And the kids are teens now so they tell me exactly what they want and I get it. Not too tough.

Pretty easy for me. My sons need smartphone upgrades. And, DD wants a laptop, Bearpaw boots and a Northface hoodie.

Yeah, those were not my favorite Christmas years. Now I buy for the grandkids & I'll get something for my sons.

Last year I got DH a Keurig & he got me Bose speakers for my laptop. I told him NO PRESENTS this year...

I've been ordering things for DD, but I need more. She's kind of in a weird stage, where she's not as into toys, but not quite into the older kid stuff yet either, so I am having a harder time buying for her this year.

I'll get a few things for Baby A closer to Christmas.

I got all the parent's gifts done. And my nephews are done. Christmas cards are ordered. Dh is taking care of his brother's gifts. I need to get something for my sister still. We get our grandparents a little something too.

DH is DONE. He is going to Wisconsin in a few weeks to watch a Green Bay game and getting a new car. Well, not it's not new, but it's new to him. Those are his gifts this year.

I've done most of mine too. I have an extra problem in that I have to carry most of the gifts with me when I go home to London for the holidays. So gifts have to be small and light. So I start looking early - like Lily I hate crowds and stress. Once I've finished then I can go into the stores and enjoy browsing without that anxious feeling of what am I going to get!! Another little problem ... so many family birthdays around the holidays, including mum on Christmas Day and me 4 days later. But I'm doing really well this year - yay!!

We have this problem too silver. My moms birthday is New Year's day and DD's is the 4th.

This Christmas is going to be different.

We usually buy for the kids and Sweetness, my mother, G's brother and my niece and nephew.

Well, mama called a couple of weeks back saying that she was going to cut back on Christmas gifts. Which is FINE with me. She means well, but it's usually stuff I don't want/need. So we aren't going to exchange gifts. G and I are going to put some money in her Senior Citizens Group fund so she can do more things with them.

We told his brother that we are going out of town this Christmas. He comes every year and it's horrible. He is THE most depressing person in the world and we dread the week leading up to it, the week of, and it takes a week to get back to normal. We're not going to deal with it this year.

Our 4 kids want money. DD and her DH are buying a new house the first of the year and need money for that. SDS will start her internship for her degree in January, so she won't be able to work much. The boys are always needing something for their cars, so they've asked for money too. *sigh* The only presents under the tree are going to be for Sweetness.

G and I don't buy Christmas presents for each other. We never have.

My cousin's birthday is right after Christmas, I cant ever remember if it is the 28th or 29th.

She got married about a week before Christmas.

I asked her why she lumped her marriage in with the other two. She said she knew he would forget if she didn't. LOL!!..

My dad's birthday in January 4th.

It seems a lot of our families birthdays are in February and then in September and October.
