"for a Christian" "As a Christian" " I thought you were a Christian"
People like to use that against anyone or anytime they don't agree with another's view point, another's opinion or another's thoughts.
Maybe we could use other statements as a weapon.
"So you are not interested in having kids? I thought you were a woman?"
"As a woman, I would think you would understand."
"For a woman, you're not acting like one."
Why use Christianity as a weapon? I don't get that.
Maybe we could use other things in people's lives as weapons?
You're a this or you're a that.
Seriously. Why do people do that?

Well.... some people will quote the bible all day to suit THEIR agenda but then turn around and do some very ugly things. It's a practice what you preach type of thing.
It's a way to shut down dialogue or try to discredit. Yeah, Christians do things that are wrong, stupid, or not Biblical. However, that in no way negates the truth of the Bible or the love of Jesus Christ. Some people use that as an excuse to then not really look seriously at Christianity for themselves. IF you look only at human beings, you aren't going to find God.
It's not a weapon if you don't allow it to be one. I am a flawed human being. Sometimes I act right and sometimes I don't. So, if you are looking at me to be the perfect Christlike example, I ain't it.
I see it more of a you disagree with me so you cant be the Christian you say you are.
People want to think that being a Christian means you lay down and let whom ever walk all over you. You have no opinion. You just smile, nod and go along. Cause what else would Jesus do?
They like the fluff and fuzzy of the Bible but not the fire and Brimstone.
They forget that God got angry enough to destroy whole cities. Whole armies when defending His people.
The don't like to remember the chasing of the money changers with a whip and turning the tables over.
They for sure don't want to accept the matter of fact truths of the Bible.
And if a person isn't fluff and fuzzy all the time, they cant be a Christian.
It is a weapon.

God doesn't need me to defend Him. So, if someone doesn't like my approach to life, I can't help that. All I can do is try to do what is right, or what I believe is right. And, sometimes I will be wrong. I am a sinner whom God forgives. That's it.
