That's what I thought you meant, Flan. Regardless of the decision, the looting and rioting would still have occurred. In Boston there was a peaceful demonstration walk last night. It was nice to see people voicing their opinion without destroying property and making others fearful of leaving their homes.

There is now turmoil in Boston. Some girl (black) was on saying if it were her shooting Michael Brown she would be in jail facing 25 years. Umm No. If he attacked you and you shot him, you would not be charged. What is wrong with people?

Since August, Al Sharpton and MSNBC, CNN, the big three networks, and all the righteous protesters and Anonymous hacktivists have been using the death of Michael Brown as a basis to claim that our society is prejudiced against black teens. But since then 244 teens have been killed in Chicago, most of them black males, and not a word has been said about this death toll.

In a city only a few hours away from the St. Louis suburb where protesters have hoisted Michael Brown onto a pedestal, records show that in the 107 days since Brown was killed there have been 244 teens killed in the Windy City -- nearly all from gang violence.

As the lives of hundreds of teens are laid waste in Chicago, Jesse Jackson, who lives in that very city, remains quiet. Al Sharpton has bypassed Chicago in his constant trips about the country to capitalize on violence against blacks. And former Obama Chief of Staff, now Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, has issued no comment.

As Tyler Durden notes, 74 percent of these homicides have been black teens. And while ten were killed by Chicago's police department, hundreds of others on the list were killed by fellow blacks.

Chicago isn’t the only city experiencing the deaths of its teens, of course. But Chicago has the largest tally. And yet no national protests have hit Chicago after all this bloodshed.

I don't think it's "the media" choosing to ignore black on black violence, I think the media is covering the protests and rioting.

No one in Chicago is protesting or rioting because so many young black men (and children) are gang members living a life of violence and being thugs.

I'm sure many of their parents would keep them from that life if they could,

but it's a way of life that sucks them in.

Al Sharpton isn't trying to do anything about that. I think Sharpton and the people like him should come up with a solution. But they don't really want anything solved, because they make a living by ranting and raving against "the system". If it got fixed, they'd go bankrupt.

The truly sad, sad thing is that MANY innocent young kids get killed everyday. A thug who attacks a police officer and gets shot induces riots, while drive bys that kill babies are just considered normal.

it matters not what brown's parents think, what sharpton et al think, what cnn apparently thinks(?)--the grand jury has spoken and that's it--end of story--the professional criminals / rioters ( imported or resident ) are criminals and should be treated as such--was talking with a couple of business owners here this morning and both of them share a common sentiment with many in this community--had the thugs tried that here, there would have been a hell of a lot of dead black looters lining the streets of our town

The grand jury might have spoken, but what is more important is the evidence, this was a kid who tried to kill a cop! Where is the respect for the law? What are these kids taught at home?
