DD was never into dolls. She has a few holiday barbies in my closet, still in box, she doesn't give a hoot about them.

I have the holiday barbies too. All boxed up and sitting in the storage room. A few got so damaged that I opened them for DD, but she doesn't really play with them.

DD would just strip her barbies and throw them in the toy box. One time she took them in the pool and left them for several days.

Hahah.. my sister used to pull the head off of every ken doll that came into our house. My mom wasn't sure what to make of that.

When I was a young girl my BFF and I would play barbies for hours. She was an only child so she had all the cool barbie stuff including a Winnebago.

You guys are too young to remember Chatty Kathy. She had a string you pulled & she "talked."

My brother took a hammer to the doll to find out how she talked...I didn't even get a replacement.

My mom still has her Chatty Kathy! In the box and everything. She was a very gently kid apparently because even though she played with it, it still looks great.

I wish I had kept Mrs. Beasley. She was awesome.

That sale was disappointing unless you need a doll.

I had a Chatty Kathy doll!  My mom used to talk to our neighbor using her.  She'd say something like, "Come over for coffee in ten minutes."  Or, "I need a cup of sugar." Then we'd run down to the neighbors house and play the message and the neighbor would respond.

I also had a Mrs. Beasley.

Yea, and even then there wasn't a huge discount.

I never liked baby dolls but I loved my Barbies. The only thing other than the dolls that I had was a bubble bath. You added dish soap & pumped the bellows thing & it made bubbles.

Well, with the extra outfit, the value was about $146 for $99, so almost $50 off.

I didn't realize they came with an extra outfit. That sounds better than what I was seeing.

They came with a pair of pajamas along with the original doll set.
