 Thanks!

The guy at T-Mobile told me that, in order to start my contact list, I had to create a gmail account, so I'll start there.

You don't have too. You can enter them in manually. If you sync it then they won't get lost.

Wow. Flan entered the digital world before me.

I still have an old Envy. I dropped it a few months ago and the top now sits crooked on the bottom.

I don't know if I will get a new phone until this one just completely stops working.

Last time I got a new phone, the only thing my old one was good for was a mobile answering machine.

No antenna, no text, no nothing.

I dont change phones often.

I'll be interested how long the learning curve is for you, flan. I still have a flip (dumb) phone, considering getting an iPhone.

DH got an iPhone in March and it took him about 3 months to get used to it.

Plus it makes ordering delivery food easier.  They can get the address from the phone number.

I use the app on my phone for food delivery. It stores my order, and my credit card number so all I have to do is click a button and pizza appears 20 mins later at my door! Also, at Chipotle, you can order on your phone, go to the store, and skip to the head of the line to pick up and pay. It's awesome.

I've heard of these amazing things called apps!  My friend does the Chipotle one a lot.  I've never tried Chipotle.

Find a kid.  My nieces and nephews?  Had me up and running in a day.  They loaded all their info, my sisters and brothers info.  Showed me a few tricks.  Boom!  Done.   I need something.  I hand them the phone.

Smart Phone Knowledge...

For newbies, "APP" means "application."

Like Internet Explorer or Microsoft Word are applications ... apps ... for your computer. Could also be known as a "software application".

 You crack me up!

I would be lost without my iPhone. I was hesitant at first, but once I learned how to use it, I became dangerous. Lol.

There is a parking app I like. Tells you all the parking spots close to you, how much it is to park there and how many spots are available. Obviously good for big city living only - so I don't use it much anymore.

I love my Galaxy Note 2. My phone is not just a phone. It's a computer in my hands. It's my calendar, my contact list, my email, my shopping cart, my camera, my video camera, my stereo with all my songs, my pdf file, and on and on.

Mom and C have one. Mom's sync up to her car.

The first trip in the new car we were following the navigation.

We got to noticing just how hateful it could be.

I love my S5 for this reason.  It syncs to the car and I never have to take my eyes off the road.  Plus, if I get a text message it will read my text messages to me.  I love it.  Best invention ever.

I have a Droid, and just like aergia I use probably 10% of what is available.  If I had a tablet I would likely do more - my phone's screen is just too small for me to enjoy viewing even emails, much less TG.

A lot of Galaxy people here. I had a Nexus. It died after being in dying mode for at least 6 months. I went with the Galaxy S5 Sport. It really is durable, like the sign said. DS has beat the snot out of the poor thing and not a scratch on it. I have a baby app on it for him and he loves playing with his app while I'm changing his diaper.

DH will probably join the club. He's jealous of my Galaxy. I miss my Nexus but I've adjusted to the Galaxy. I do like the Galaxy. I just wish it was smaller. I don't like the big screen but I do like the chunkiness of the sport version. Plus, it's blue (which is my favorite color) and I like having a blue phone again.

I don't like cases. I keep mine in a holster when I'm out and about. When I'm home it sits where I can reach and little grabby hands can't.

Guess who is going to upgrade their phone to a Galaxy S4? I was paying my Verizon bill tonight and was just looking around to see what was new for plans etc, and I found out that I could get an early upgrade for no cost with Verizon Edge, and it will only cost about $10 or so more than I was paying for my dumb phone. I've had smart phones before but have had bad luck. Maybe this one will work out!
