“You may shoot me with your words, you may cut me with your eyes, you may kill me with your hatefulness, but still, like air, I'll rise!” ― Maya Angelou
Usually either an angel or a star. This year one has an angel and the other a big bow that I made.

Well, we've had a star, an angel, a bow, and a pointy glass topper...and somehow, a few years back, we ended up with a Santa hat on top. Neither of us can remember how it came about, but it's there now!
Oh, and one of our light and motion Hallmark ornaments from 1985-86 that hasn't worked but one year in the last 20 has magically decided to work this year!
I want to do a pink flamingo tree. I love those things.

My small trees have stars, the tall one in the dining room has an angel, and the one in the living room, a long glass ornament that belonged to my parents and they used it every year when I was growing up. It's very lightweight and fragile but has survived 50+ years. The large tree in our bedroom does not have one topper, but is flanked with green sparkly "sprays" that shoot out.
Ed we have some bamboo in the back yard. You want some of the chutes?

I use to do that. Trees in every room. I would love to have a big enough space to do a bunch of trees in the corner. I love that.
But I would have to have a place as big as a shopping mall so I don't think I ever will.

I haven't tried it yet but I love them in Chinese food. so I have a whole bunch out back and I may just try it.
You have to soak them and it takes a while but if I can do it, yum.

My mother always had an angel on top. We received some of Husband's mother's decorations the first Christmas we were married, including a multicolor light up star tree topper.
I love it.
DH hates to decorate but loves to have the house decorated for the holidays. So I make him do one thing to help...he puts the star on the tree when we are done with everything else.
The 2 years he worked in a different state, the star didn't go on until right before Christmas but DDs wouldn't let me do it. It HAD to be Dad.

Well, I'm in Florida, so it would still be a bit of a trip!
There isn't much of anything between here and there once you pass Savannah. Wouldn't be bad if we could find something 1/2 way. Would be less than 2 hours drive.

Yeah, but I do love Savannah...the "Hostess City of the South!"
