Vette, I don't think it is. Our son was on Abilify and we had him at the doctor on THURSDAY to put him back on it because it was a wonder drug for him too. His psychiatrist said not one word about it. And he keeps very up to date on this. I wouldn't panic yet.

no not spam, website is real. DId you read the article? Disintergrating tabs and injectables are being dropped. There is nothing spamish about it.

No. I didn't read the article. But then this title is misleading because ALL Abilify is not being dropped. Maybe those two forms but not all.

Do either of you use the coupon for Abilify? We used to get $40 every month.

I hope it goes generic! It's too expensive. I'm on state insurance now but in January I'll be back to normal, my doctor did give me a coupon but I don't know how much help it will be.

Vette, if you will be on private insurance in January then go to the website and print off their coupon. It will save you about $40/month. But it can only be used of you have private insurance.

Effexor is my miricle drug and it was $1600 a month for years until it went generic. Now I pay something ridiculous low like $60 a month.

I remember paying $400 as my co pay for a 30 day supply and being relieved I wasn't paying the whole thing. I would have gone to a title loan place to get money for it though, it's that good for me! Lol.

Okay people, here is my tip of the day given to me by my doctor. IF you have private insurance-this only works for private, you can't have Medicaid, Medicare, or Obamacare-AND you take a name brand drug you need to go to the drug's website. Just google it. 99% of the time they offer a coupon for the drug and you can get it cheaper. DH takes Nexium and we have one for his Nexium. We have them for a few of mine and one of my son's. The pharmacy is very good about taking them. But like I said it has to be a name brand and you have to have private insurance. Although I think I remember seeing one of them say that if you paid cash you could also get a discount.

NJN, when you say you can't have Obamacare do you mean you can't have bought it through the exchange? Does it count as private insurance if it's through your work place?

Private insurance is done through your workplace. If you buy it on the exchange it's considered part of the public program. But I guess you could TRY it. I know there are strict rules about Medicare and Medicaid. We have insurance through DH's job and we use many of the manufacturer's coupon's. We save a lot of money every month.
