I was following the pack all swallowed in their coats
with scarves of red tied round their throats
to keep their little heads from falling in the snow
I turned round and Micheal you fell down
and turned the white snow red as strawberries in summer time.
Interesting huh? I never heard this until recently. It's a very catchy tune.
I wonder if it is like ring around the rosy but has something to do with war instead of the plague.

Sounds a little macabre to me with the red in the snow being blood, etc. Have they actually been beheaded and the scarves are keeping their heads from falling off - except for Micheal.... Have to think on this a bit.
I couldn't post the actual song last night but here it is.
I wish I could find the one I saw last night, it had no real imagery.

Sooo... Have anything else to add? Or are you just spreading as much of your brand of cheer as possible?

It does help if people understood what "interpurt" means. I didn't even look at the thread because I didn't understand the word. Autocorrect is useless. I keep thinking when I see spelling/grammar errors, "how hard is it to proofread?" Facebook and message boards sometimes give me a headache because of autocorrect and people not proofreading.
I've read the title of this thread for several days now and I read it as "inter-purt" and I tried to figure out what that meant. Finally figured out through context that it was supposed to be "interpret". I was an English major also.

You didn't look at the thread cause you didn't understand the word but you did look at the thread cause here you are saying this.
And I have tried to change it 3 times. It wont let me.
So a word is misspelled.
I notice neither of you have YET to comment on anything but my misspelled word.
So I guess you sole mission in this thread is just to make fun.
Nice work. Both of you.
Hope it makes your Christmas brighter knowing you have properly scolded me.

I agree with Karl. This is very dark. I wouldn't want to discuss it with or in the presence of children.

Ring around the rosy is dark as well. But we all sang it and taught it to our kids.
The Grimm fairy tales are dark. Again, I bet you told them to your sons at bed time.
I am really curious where it came from.
