I have some wicked heartburn. I hope everyone else s having a great day. I am shopped out. Got a few new clothes and some new bras, no underwire, yay! The rest of the day will be quiet. I am not going anywhere!
Hmmm. Maybe I'll invite the kids to find it for me!
Ham salad is made. Last load of laundry is going into the dryer.
I think I'm going to loaf, for the rest of the day. Oh, and try to get a walk in.
Ham salad sounds good, FWM - how do you make yours?
VOR - yayyyyyy!!!
We had our first frost of the winter last night - good thing I moved my Porthos inside! Don't hate me, but the high today is a clear, chilly 52 degrees.
The temps almost outnumber regular employees here today. One just came back to my office and said "um, we have a problem". Now, at a place where things regularly catch fire without so much as a raised eyebrow, it takes a lot to be "a problem". I'm thinking, oh crap, what crisis is there now? ......... The mail lady hasn't come today, so the mail hasn't been picked up. I almost laughed at her. Instead, I told her I would drop it at the post office on my way home.
Happy Friday! I'm dog sitting today. Ham in the crockpot and I'm gonna have a husband home by 5!!
Yours or just anybody's?
I'm kidding, Yay!
Enjoy your time.

I may go underwear shopping later. Everyone else but me in this house got underwear for Christmas. FWM, I go from loafing to doing things. It's been great. Just took the dog on a power walk. He is energetic today. House is shape though. Feels good.
VOR so happy for you!

I keep it pretty simple, Honeys. I run my chunks of ham through the food processor for a course grind.
Then I ran 4 hard boiled eggs through, and added them to the ham.
Added about half a cup of pickle relish. I like dill, but sweet relish would work, if that is what you like.
Some Miracle Whip and yellow mustard. You could use Mayo, if you like. My family likes Miracle Whip better.
And, done!
You could add minced onion and celery, if you wanted to. But, my peeps like it the simple way.
VoR, I know you're excited to see your husband! Have a great evening!
SB, it's cloudy and 65 here. Cold front is coming. We won't get out of the 40's tomorrow.
Oh well, it is winter time. I can't complain too much!
Yahoo! we are the first two in the cattle call line for boarding and two free drink coupons, ahem, DD doesn't get one of those, I get both! Happy Dance!

We celebrated till late in the evening. Then SS broke into the sugar cookies. They were decorated with red dye. At 3:30 this am he woke us up to let us know everything he had eaten had come back up due to the red dye. So today is laundry day to clean up all the barfy laundry.
I felt kind of bad because after he opened his gifts last night he said Santa was much nicer to him at our house than at his grandma's house. She's been out of work so I'm sure she did the best she could. But how do you explain all this to a kid who still believes in Santa?

You tell him that Santa just thought there was more room at your house so that is where more presents were left.
And red food dye tends to make A. sick as well. Especially in large amounts.

We also got up at five am to hit Wal-Mart. The lights on our artificial tree went out this year and we bought a new one at half price to replace it. We also told DN we'd buy her her first tree. We got tons of stuff. Everything was half price.
DH BOUGHT ME A STUFFED MOOSE! It's soooooooooo soft. So cute. I love it.

I went on Monday and got a tree to replace the white one with next year. It isn't quite as white as it use to be.
Going back to a green tree next year.
I do want to go see what else I can get but I probably wont make it.

I got a few new decorations at Belk. Wasn't going to go near Walmart. We went in Bath and Body Works at the factory stores and left when we saw the checkout line. There must have been 20 people waiting to pay.

Our Walmart is a zoo on a normal day. The day after Christmas is crazy. I might go on my way to Zumba tomorrow. I usually just grab some wrapping paper and ribbon and maybe some gift bags. Most people there are doing their shopping a day late.
I do not want to drive 45 minutes in the dark to DH's ex's house to have Christmas with his kids & grandkids...but I said I would. And it will make him happy.

I hate it when someone spoils my pout... sorry.
At least we are driving two cars, so I can leave when I want to!!
I seriously need to rethink my mailbox routine. I empty it on Fridays since I pay most bills on line and most of the mail is crap, I had 10 bday cards and 6 xmas cards and, get this, a bonus from my company!

I snuck out of work early today. Dropped off the mail then hit kmart for the clearance wrapping paper. Everything was half off, and I didn't have to deal with Walmart. Everyone else is off doing something, so I have the quiet house to myself. I have a glass of wine and the couch all to myself.
It has been ten years since the Thailand tsunami that killed 1000s of people.

I'm so far behind on reading here, it's ridiculous!!
DS, DGF and DGS left late this afternoon. I got my baby fix in full! He was a crabby baby yesterday and today he was perfect. So sweet and full of smiles. They will be back the weekend of the 10th. :)
We had a wonderful Christmas. A full house, lots of presents and tons of food. DH is making leftover supper for us tonight. I don't know what but it will be good.
It's snowing again, it snowed yesterday as well. The ice is not so nice...
Waiting for DD and grand's to get home safely. They had to travel today. Hate after Christmas appointments. They could have spent all the day with us instead of having to leave early. But, they will be here tomorrow night to watch the bowl game with us.
Our house survived, barely. Games of Chutes and Ladders, Game of Life, and puzzles all over the dining room made for an interesting juggling act. Good thing the dining room table is huge.
Sounds like everyone is back to normal, or nearly so. Glad your DH is home VoR! Or should be by now.
I'm enjoying an early glass of Apple Pie Cream Liqueur. I needed this... ;)

Survived work. Took the clients out - to a spiritual bookstore! It was a great outing, and definitely off the beaten track. December 26th is Boxing Day; a stat holiday that also is the equivalent of Black Friday. Stores get kind of crazy. Thank goodness we took the bus everywhere - it was pretty mellow in the part of the city we went to.
One cheesecake down, one to go. Sigh. I wish I was a moocher.

I cannot just show up at someone's house for dinner without bringing something. It's just not the way I was raised.
