They're both stupid. Crimes? I don't know what crimes there would be.

On private property, the laws of the road do not apply. The only thing the police will do is make a report.

Don't these people have anything better to do?? Both seem like they are a little out of it. Why didn't she just drive away or go wherever she was headed?
And I am sure the police did not appreciate being called to handle something like this. Sure they have a lot more important and urgent things to handle.

1. She deliberately dented his car the second time she hit it with her car door.

2. She was grabbing at his camera and trying to take it away: assault and battery, and attempted theft.

3. She opened his passenger side door, which is (I think) burglary, or maybe unlawful entry?

4. She stood in the way so the passenger door couldn't be closed. Don't know what, but that's something. Interference? Unlawful detention?

5. Refusing to provide her license and insurance information after she hit his car, also has to be something.

No Ed, it all happened on private property. She didn't actually touch him. She stayed where she was so he could not get her tag number. He could have pulled out at any time.

They both do seem out of it. But the were both pretty upset.

Like I said, a police report was all that would be taken. Even if he had got her tag number, i doubt it would have done anything but make their respective insurances go up.

The police report would include all the information he would need to file a claim against her insurance company for the repair of any dents she left in the right side of his car.

Probably a few hundred dollars.

And once her insurance company saw the video (of COURSE he would send it to the adjuster) they would cancel her insurance. Unless she's already in the Assigned Risk pool, in which case her rates would go up at least another $1000 per year.

It's also possible that she would continue to rant once the cops got there, and they might cuff her and take her away for disorderly conduct.

It looked to me like she did put her hands on him while she was grabbing for the camera.
