“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're doing something. So that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make new mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life. Whatever it is you're scared of doing, do it. Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”
Happy New Year to all our geeks, their new geeky babies and grand babies and to all the lurkers ! I hope 2015 is a fun, safe, healthy, prosperous year for us all!

Lindley, Congratulations !! By any chance was the baby the first one of the year in the area the parents live in? Anyway, hope both baby and mother are doing well.
Congrats Lindley! Happy New Year to all. It's not even day time and we've already eaten too much. I guess that's a bad indicator for the New Year. I just started the crock pot full of black eyed peas!

1. I start my new job on Jan 12th with my new partner!
2. I am in midseason with my 5th grade girls bball. We have our first Tourny the weekend of Jan 23rd. Hoping they can apply some skills that they have learned even if we don't win.
3. Continuing into my second year on the School Board. I am on the Negotiations Team, the Tech School Board and the a couple other committees. We are looking to hire new Asst HS Principal and possibly a new football coach.
4. My oldest son, 19, has realized that Burger King is probably not the best career path. He starts trade school to become an electrician in Feb. I just wrote out a monster check for that tuition.
5. My younger son is a Junior. He is taking the SAT in March. He is looking into Engineering. And, he got his permit but has been too busy with basketball to do any driving so planning to teach him to drive in the Spring.
6. DD should be starting AAU basketball practice soon with her travel team. Probably be starting some tournaments in March. And, I just had her evaluated for Orthodontics so she will be starting that too.
7. DH is steady as he goes with work. He has been there for 20+yrs.
