Thanks. It's funny how after I got totally wiped out Christmas Eve and slept all day Christmas Day, I ended up being so much stronger immediately after. I'm ready to start walking! I need to skip winter!

I have suddenly started feeling a lot stronger and more energetic - just in time for a blizzard and frigid temperatures. It's been 7 weeks since surgery. But this weekend I vacuumed and mopped my floors, washed bedding, and actually cooked - made breaded fish with sweet potatoes in the oven. I'm getting really tired of sandwiches and frozen food. Also, I've noticed that getting out of a chair is suddenly really easy. I notice the weight loss most then.

I can't wait until spring when I can start walking again and lose some more weight. I want to lose another 30 lbs on top of the 30 or so I've lost since being in the hospital. The only bad thing is I already have excess skin that will probably not go away, which is a little depressing. I really want to get back to the gym, but when I started walking again, it made the joint where my clavicle and sternum meet, hurt. A lot. The physical therapist said that it is most likely from the way I go up and down stairs. I lead with my left arm, so that lifts my shoulder really high to get up to the next step. The pain started last summer when I was having problems getting around, and she thinks I sprained it and now I either need to go get a cortisone injection, or go to the chiropractor. I think I'd rather go to the chiropractor. Physical therapist doesn't want me to go to the gym until this pain is under control/ gone.

This is great news!! I am so happy to hear that you are feeling better! Amazing!
