Just found out our school district is closed due to the fact it will be a whopping 0 degrees tomorrow. So that means that the library will be closed. I, however, will go in so I can work on computers that have not been looked at since before I got sick in early October. It will be nice to have no one there to bother me. Should be able to get a lot done.

We had a meeting this afternoon with me, the other librarian and the clerk that comes in to work Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. The current director wants to cut back on hours and possibly not be director any more, so I'm thinking about whether I want to be director or not. I would have to get re-certified, which I don't really want to do, but will if she does decide to step down from the position. I was certified, but then didn't renew it because I wasn't being paid the same as she was, and didn't have as many hours, so got certified as a support staff. I figured if I couldn't get the hours or pay she was, why would I take 45 hours worth of classes every 3 years.

So, I'm going to start learning some of the things she does, so we can trade off if we want, and I can see if I really want to be director. She was sick for a week the week I came back, so I had to work a full shift that week. It made us both realize that we could both be sick at the same time, and what we would do, so we're considering hiring a 4th person with a flexible schedule who could work for us if we were both gone. Current clerk can only work the hours she works, so she can't.

A lot to think about.

If you ever have an urge to put an app on your smart phone, you could get the one that links to other phones so you can GPS track people.  It's called 'Where's My Friends" or something like that.  I call it the Stalker app.  But . . . you could watch Hubby's driving on your phone - kind of like that map on airplanes that shows where you are on the route!

Hi Tig,

Could you verify the name of the app?

Thanks.

I have an obscene amount of Hershey's candy in my house. Literal garbage bags full. Most of it is expired by a month or two. I keep it for a little bit and then throw out whatever DD can't give away.

Smoke more pot...then you'll eat more candy.
