Yes he has. He has thought about having sex with her. He has envisioned it and probably played it out in his mind.
That is adultery.
Says so in the Bible.

LOL! I've said that to someone before. It's a compliment. I've said "I want to bear your children", as a joke to someone that did something I found funny...

I just don't know a single woman who hasn't had to deal with a unwanted attention from a man. The fact this this jerk's whole world is on the brink because his SIL is flirting with him shows how close to the brink it was to begin with.
So effing what? Who cares that she is flirting? Thst doesn't mean he has to screw her. Tell her to cut it out, and move the heck on with your day. I just don't understand what his big problem is.

This is dumb. Some guy writes to prudie instead of telling this chick to knock it off and collaborating with his wife on finding other arrangements for his sil? Really? And anyone who thinks being a guy is an excuse to screw around is not a stand up person at all. You don't **** around with your wife's sister. Doesn't everyone know that?

This. And some people are just flirtatious, and don't actually mean anything by it. SIL would proba ly be horrified if he actually responded to him.

Well. Those of us who are not guys or excuse that kind of behavior knows that.

If I knew my sister well enough to know that she is truly joking and not serious at all I would tell her to knock it off because hubby is uncomfortable. I would also have a serious talk with hubby and sister at the same time so we can all be on the same page.
If hubby if still uncomfortable after that then I would respect his wishes and not allow sis to move in. I wouldn't be happy about it if we all talked and made it clear to everyone involved that no one wants to sleep with anyone else!! But I'd never move a family member in without his approval because he would never do that to me.
But then MY husband would have already taken care of this "problem" himself and he wouldn't disapprove of my sister moving in. She's have to be a straight up tramp and scream that she would never get him out of her mind..lol Because after the way my husband would shoot her down she'd be a fool to keep it up!

Apparently not.

So, when I was 19 and my 18 y.o. girlfriend's 16 year old sister would walk around in her panties and cut-off t-shirt, and ask me about sex with her sister,
did I fail to see an opportunity? How dumb of me to miss that.

That may be in the Bible, but I believe it's an addition by man, back when it was written or added when it was translated, and not directly required by God. I believe that if you look at a person with lust in your heart, you have committed being human. Nothing more, nothing less. This goes for women and men.
Acting on that lust, however, is an entirely different story.

A person can be Christian and also understand that the Bible was written and transcribed and edited and translated, over and over, by men. All that writing, transcription, editing, and translation allows for not only errors to creep in, but also personal biases of those doing the writing, transcribing, editing, and translating.

But why doesn't the reverse hold true. What about not screwing around with your wife's husband?

I'm not disputing what the Bible says--but we are NOT talking about the Biblical concept of sin and what that entails.
We are talking about what would be considered marital infidelity by HUMANS.
Any human who thinks they can control another person's thoughts is simply wrong. The concept of "trust" only enters into the realm of "thoughts" if those thoughts are actually ACTED upon in some way--words, physical acts, or whatever.

The ONLY one in this scenario who has committed any overt acts is the sister (who would also be guilty of adultery using the Biblical standard--but lily doesn't seem to be able to find that verse).

VOR says that everyone should know not to screw around with their wife's sister--which is true.
But shouldn't people also know not to screw around with your sister's husband?

He has a big ego. She probably would puke if he even came onto her. Its a big joke to her....men are stupid sometimes. And think they are irresistible when in truth, they are jokes. A guys mind is simple. At least his...and yours...

This is so true. Some men really do believe they're irresistible to women but the sister probably has no idea the husband thinks she wants to have sex with him...lol. She probably did flirt with him and may even have said she'd like to have his baby but HE'S the one who says he can't control himself. You know because he's a guy after all.

So you pick and choose what you actually think is the word of God out of the Bible? It's not trail mix.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
Where did he say she came onto him? She didn't. She flirted...not remotely the same thing.
Are you looking for a specific, overt act on her part? Like, did she unbutton his shirt? Or put her arms around him and rub against him?
Sorry, I've seen women who made it obvious without anything at that level, who clearly would have done anything I wanted if I'd given them ANY kind of positive response.
Maybe he is misinterpreting her intentions, but probably not.

As the "verbatim, unaltered, direct word of God"? No. As a "general sense of what the authors of it thought God meant or wanted, but as seen and experienced through their eyes and beliefs"? Yes.

Yes, we are familiar with the fact that all throughout your life women have repeatedly thrown themselves at you.

I agree with your "it's not trail mix" anti-analogy(?), It's not about picking and choosing. It's about understanding the "telephone game" aspect of it's having been edited and translated so many times. Human error and bias will creep in.
Do I believe adultery is a sin? Yes.
Do I believe that because you had a lustful thought in your heart, that you had no control over having, that you have sinned? No.
I believe that a God great and powerful enough to create everything would know and understand the difference between voluntary action and involuntary urge or thought.
Where did he say she came onto him? She didn't. She flirted...not remotely the same thing.

Maybe "didn't run away screaming" rather than "thrown themselves" at me ...
I may be a "4" but I'm a good listener.

I suspect that I've had more experience with women than you have, but you certainly can feel free to discount my opinions and/or observations.
Gee, thanks so much for giving me permission to do something I can do anyway.
