My hair is now medium brown after being blond as a child but I've been frosting it with blond for years.  It is currently hiding the white strands here and there and at the temples (my mom went directly to white without passing grey, lol) very effectively.  Hope it will for awhile yet...

I keep seeing mention of this "Sprite angel food cake".  I wonder if Dad would like it?

I have nice long gray hairs right in my part. If I have my hair pulled back, you can't see them. I guess I'm lucky, my grandma was completely white by 25 (earlier really I think)

my soup is really bland. NEeds a lot of salt. I figured the stock would be salty enough, but I was wrong. Boo. Good consistency and all though - I just wish it was more flavorful.

What did you add?  Here is my trick to making soup.  I open the spice cabinet and take everything out.  If it sounds good I put a sprinkle of this and spoonful of that in it.  Also any veggies you have you can throw in.  My kids will eat just about anything in soup.

What did you do to it? Mine was about to come over the top of the pan when it came out.

I don't think I should have greased the pan?

Did you season each "layer" as you put it together?

What did you use in the beans besides stock?

Next time try adding a hunk of meat. Like hog jowl or summer sausage.

I'd to see the recipe.

I used butter and the floured it.

Did it fizz up when you mixed it together? Did you use a mixer or a whisk? Was the sprite room temp? Maybe the cake mix lost its yeast.

I'm sorry it didn't turn out right.

Now I want to make you one cause I feel bad That yours didn't do right.

It did fizz up pretty good when I did it. I used a mixer too. It still tasted good. DH ate half of it in one sitting. I really want to try it again now though. I'm sad cause I wanted it to be all pretty.

My big soft pretzels got a smidge overdone too. They didn't burn but they're a little too dark. They're still tasty though. Hey, at least all my food is still yummy even if it didn't turn out like expected.

I think the mixer might be the problem. Mix it by hand. I used a whisk. It was still foamy and fizzy when it went in the oven.

If you make a cake from scratch and the directions say to "fold" in, people tend to over fold. That will affect how the cake rises.

It isn't from scratch. It is a box mix.

But a mixer can be too much for some recipes.
