Seriously, I do know what you mean, MM.  Now I just say, "I have a friend who lives in (state, country or even "back east") that I was just talking to about that!" 

I've explained to my Mom that I have friends online that I've never met face-to-face and she seems to understand, but I don't go there with dad because I know he won't really understand what the heck I'm talking about!

 I'm tentatively planning a trip for the summer, preferably before it gets too hot.  Any must sees that I should know about?  Current plans include Ft Snelling, Raptor Center, Cathedral of St Paul, Como Park Zoo & Conservatory and the Capitol building.

If you like Italian food, plan on eating at Cosettas. It's by the Cathedral and it's amazing! It's cafeteria style and they have everything from salads and subs to pasta dinners to pizza. Every day. There is a market attached as well and a bakery with gelato!

Mall of America is about 20 mins away if you are interested in shopping. Summer is a great time to come, but at 5pm or after, have plenty of bug spray on hand. The mosquitoes will get you from dusk on.
