Good news, our libraries bond proposal passed and it's expanding from 3000 square feet to 18000 square feet. I was told the other day we have the number one most used library in the county which is actually amazing because there are much much bigger libraries.

Wow! That's quite a jump!

We just renovated the children's area last year (same size, different look) and it actually was not as stressful as I had anticipated.

It's a HUGE jump! We had one small house type building that housed all of city hall, the library, and the police department. We now have a new and independent police department and city hall. I have not been by to see them yet. The library is still under construction. I'm massively excited about the library.

Oh, they said it's going to have a huge children's section with all kinds of things and a new reading program!

Off today but have a bunch of volunteer type work to do. My driveway and walkway are pure ice. The temps are rising so hopefully that all takes care of itself in the next hour or so.

I also work today. Then a library board meeting after work. NJN, that's great about your library!

I might go out and walk again today before work. It is supposed to be 50 today, so by noon it should be about there. There was snow at the entrance of the track, and the friend who went with me yesterday went back to the track after we were done, and shoveled the snow so I could get through easier if I walked again today. I now feel like I have to go walk so her efforts aren't wasted.

Morning. Well. Afternoon is more like it.

The boys are home. Mom has put them to work cleaning out a closet that has been used as a catch all since 1990. That is when this house was bought. No telling what is in there.

Ok, I am being distracted by the longest Sudoku puzzle in the world that Vette gave me! It is awesome!

I have 6 girls here doing karaoke and playing twister! Girl Scout roller skating later on this evening. Will be bringing the Sudoku to that to keep me occupied.

I was going to go walk, but was just outside, and even though it's 40 degrees, it's cloudy and damp, so it's too cold. Gotta get ready for work. I've been messing around with my new phone. It has so many things on it. I did figure out how to do several useful things with it though. The pedometer is pretty cool. I also was able to transfer my grocery list from my computer to my phone.

I would rather take a nap. We're going to bring up at the board meeting tonight that we should get MLK day off next year since it seems everyone else does. But, since I was gone for over 2 months, and we've missed days because of weather, we really need to work today. So I need to get moving to be ready in an hour.

Good afternoon Lily, flan, NAOW, and Tig!
FWM, enjoy the warm weather and walks. Grilled steaks sounds very good right now.
Our DS and family left this morning, shortly before 11:00. We had a wonderful four days together. The baptism at 6:00 p.m., luncheon before and supper after were great. Lots of guests from out of town and great fellowship shared by all.
Poor little grandson had been constipated for three days, so mom gave a suppository yesterday morning. Well, it worked during communion while dad was holding his son while taking communion. Blow out time! Even the pastor started laughing up there. Then as DS sat down with his son and was telling mom what happened, baby had another explosion. Dad walked out with poop all over his pants, dripping it on the church carpet. The whole church was laughing!!! DS was doing the duck walk while trying to keep the poop from dripping more. People were wiping tears from their eyes, they were laughing so hard. Mom was mortified, but DS had her laughing within a few minutes. She was grateful it didn't happen during the baptism!!!
Mom had just taken the baptism gown off the baby, prior to communion because he got to warm. Thank God, it didn't get ruined. My mom knit that gown for him.
DS handled the whole thing with humor and had everyone laughing over the new main "event". They managed to get baby and dad cleaned up and then we took pictures. We got great pictures with poop jokes.
Fun memories, great friends, wonderful family, all sharing a lifetime event. It was an amazing day for all of us.
Life is so good!!!!
